I have a 109 series 3 ffr . I bought new shocks for standard 109 and after fitting them It feels as if the front springs are rigid. The spring shackles that are fitted look like one ton items having a bolt in the middle, will fitting one ton shocks fix the problem.

A lesson in how to ruin a vehicle by throwing money at it
-
On my wartime Bedford scammell I had a bracket fitted over the offside headlight that I could clip a bridge plate on to, then when used at night the plate was lifted off and all was legal. When I bought the truck the headlights were wired so both were lit on main beam but only the near side on dip. I altered this for safety reasons so both came on when on dip. This truck was in service until 1975 then not used until I got it, so that was the way it must have been used in service.

Whats involved in changing a vehicle from Positive Earth to Negative Earth?

Swap battery terminals over. Swap over coil connections neg or - or CB to dist Pos + or bat to ign switch, If you hasve a ammeter then change over the connectos on back. Then take a wire from the battery + and touch on the dynamo field connecter for about a second you will get a spark but thats normal thisd will change the polarity of the dynamo.the field connector is normally the smaller one. The car should be now negative earth.
