  1. Its all a matter of costs. every movie is a balance of time and cost's . When The producers make a budget there is a limit to what the investors will put up to make the movie ,then you have everyone wanting top dollar for the rental of their property IE. vehicles, land and other props. and you have to live with most movie directors who don't know anything about the props they only know what they want to make their movie their way and forget about things being from totally wrong era's like the Vietnam era food can's ,meriamite can's? in the "German ww2 warehouse " in the movie " Force ten from Navaron" All that mattered was they "looked" right to the Director .

After all the General Public hasn't a clue ,so they can get away with all the things that drive the knowledgeable people like Us Nuts when we see such error's

  2. One big step on the road to its restoration!! ;-) , I m sure you still have a smile as you must have been so happy to have that engine running :-D!!!. I cant imagine him getting an entire vehicle for a bought the cost of a tank of gas ...even by the seventies prices.

  3. Great Video Had the sound cranked to MAX!!!!! Awesome . Love the License plate on the back of the tank, so its all road legal Nice looking foreward to more clips in the future.

  4. It does make perfect sense to add or put on racks to stop RPG rockets from striking the tracks and the spaced armour to protect the hull , a remote control gun to hit the bad guy's without exposing a gunner to harm. Similar racks or barriers are on the Strikers AFV's . Beauty doesn't protect when you up against EFP's and IED's . Always the fight between having enough Protection and still have a mobile Vehicle.

  5. I too spend a moment glancing at properties and yards when I m off in a new direction traveling a new road , You never know what they might have , an antique civilian car , truck or construction machinery , farm equipment or something O.D. it makes the Hunt that much more special

  6. That diagram explains why its such a difficult problem , so each time the engine revs the first 4 parts of the system can sleeve in and out slightly or simple engine vibration in time wear's out the exhaust tubes , and no ones come up with a better coupling . Doesn't look like it would be a very easy repair either, Likely you pull out the engine to work on it ?

  7. while the Lub units are 20 yrs old they have hardly been used, 78 hours running time based on the generators use is almost nothing , Lub pumps survive much long than paint pumps since they are only handling oils and grease . biggest problem might be carb on the generator being gummed or varnished if gas or stuck valves if diesel.

  9. as to a slide scanner you could consider using something like an all in one scanner like the Epson photo rx620 which is a scanner printer and will do color or black and white printing or slide and negitive scanning along with multi memory formate transfer. something to look at if you like an all in one unit

  10. So Many Wonderful toy but so far far away. Must be like a kid in the candy store or sweets shop to you . Lots of soviet material !!! I can't believe the lub trailer was only in service for 2 yrs! Yes if one had the space it would be a handy addition.
