I was sure a member, 6x6, posted a list of chassis numbers in the thread Aec Militant Mk1? I think he got it from the AEC society or someone closely connected. Wade through that thread it's in there somewhere

I should probably adjust mine that way, ok on a good run, but pottering the batteries don't seem to get enough of a charge.

I think I'm the only one on here with a 6x4? By all means send me a PM if you want to come and have a look. There's a 6x6 here as well, but its missing a spare wheel carrier (isn't it Rob? ) Both located in Leeds.

I use this firm for the strip & clean wheels, they used to be based in Huddersfield, but have moved. They do mail order and are far cheaper than ebay etc.

For larger areas, I would recommend the grinder mounted discs, don't forget your goggles!

don't forget:

ear defenders, the ability to climb like a monkey to get in the cab (and out again) and patience, at 30mph you are going nowhere fast.

From what I've seen, it seems to be the bodywork that suffers, but the mechanicals tend to be very good, given that most won't have done thousands upon thousnds of miles.
