  1. In reply to Jack, that's not necessarily the case regarding gun cabinets. I made my gun cabinet from sections of an Austin KW chassis years ago. It's massively heavy duty, and so long as it's burglar proof and rawlbolted to the wall it still passes any police check I've had to have. Maybe, in this day and age a little common sense still prevails!!
  2. I bought it of a bloke in Northamptonshire. I'm looking into posting some pictures but as they are not on my camera, and the truck has now gone to pastures new, seems like I'll have to actually take err..photo's of the photo's, if you see what I mean. Dunno how they'll turn out but bear with me.... I agree, great looking trucks, dubious soviet build quality ! Regards, Paul
  3. Seems like I have to introduce myself....I'm Paul and I live in North Wales and I bought my first Willys MB back in 1964 for...a fiver !, yes, thats £5 whole pounds. A local bloke that was in the TA kept pestering me so after a couple of months I sold it to him for a vast profit of £7. 10 shillings (£7.50). I instantly regretted this and bought it back a week later for £10. I'm no better in matters fiscal now than I was then! Since then I've had a bunch of jeeps, moved on to Dodges (command cars and weapons carriers) GMC's, Diamond T 969A wrecker etc etc. Still, I suppose I'm about as mad as the rest of us, but they kinda get into yer blood, don't they? Olive drab becomes your favourite colour...and on it goes.! Right now I'm after CCKW tinwork, anything out there? Nice to meet you all, cheers!!
