This photo is doing the rounds on Facebook, Has the Union flag been printed upside down on her shirt ?
I understood the broad white band should be at the top (like the one on the wall) next to the flag pole ?
No its correct

If you cannot get the part that you need, I have a N.O.S. distributor for a 28hp or 214. it has push in plug leads not screw in type. There are three distributors advertised by someone on ebay for parts. Regards John.
Pm'd you John

Hi
I know it might be asking the impossible BUT :-D , What I'm looking for is ideally 4 of the single rope cleat or 2 would do for the moment and the other item is the rubber diaphragm off the horn push .I repaired a couple of splits with puncture repair patch's but unfortunately the whole thing is now falling apart .
Thanks
Dave

I'll be up for those Jeremy :cool2:. I'm looking into getting half a dozen of the spark plug holders made out of billet aluminium from the pattern you sent over to me :-D , the one in the pic is one I had a play around with out of a piece of scrap aluminium I had laid about , the spec ones I'll be getting done will be laser cut .
Dave
I,m looking into getting the early wiring loom chart fitted to the bonnet and maybe the lubrication one too, I have a company that has done some stunning cs8 ones just gotta get of my arse and get it sorted. -
Have you seen this site?
No thanks for that , I'll have a look on their site .Hopefully they might have a pattern/picture of the plate , if not I'll have to look for a decent picture they could maybe copy from

Hi Dave,
I would let the original one on your Bedford, it looks pretty good and more valuable.

Hi Danny

This is a tyre pump from a Morris CS8 . Smiths and Sons
The outlet thread appears to be 3/8 BSP
Thanks for that , I would imagine they be both the same. Looking at mine I would say 3/8" on the fittings would be right once I know the pipe size I'll go to the local Plumb Center and have a rummage .

Will measure dia of pipe and take some pics of my set up tomorrow :-D

Yes, a service technique we have all used at some time. :-D
Nothing too technical , that's what I like to hear :-D

Bit if advice? Stick in electric! :-D Ah the joys of powering up a hill in heavy rain, as the wipers get slower and slower. So saying, dump old ones in some oil for a bit, also make sure every hose is 1 Strong enough not to collapse under vacum, 2 Absolutley sealed tight. Had these problems on my Katy when I first got her. (Don't rain in Jersey , Britian's South Sea Island)
I'll do that , leave them in some oil for a week or three , they nearly ended up halfway across the field at the back :-D
-
Doh just realised they may not be the same ,may have a spare one isn't shed will look tomorrow and take a pic for comparison
Never be out of your debt Jeremy .I have a 3 or 4 in the garage but as per norm not the ones needed , think a couple off a Jeep and the others ................. haven't a clue :-D

Dave,
All I can tell you off the top of my head is that they are BSP fittings and soldered ends on pipe
Thanks Richard I'll try the local plumb center ,they should have an assortment of BSP fittings on the shelf , would 8 or 10mm suffice for the pipe work ?
Thanks

The next job on the agenda is the piping up of the tyre compressor to the filter , can anyone tell me the size of and type of fittings required to connect these together ,if anyone has a photo of the pipe run that would be great .
Thanks

:banghead: One step forward and two back , all the wiper system was put back together and the wiper motors don't want to play .
I'm after two vacuum wiper motors if anyone has any ,or knows of someone that would like to sell two
Thanks

Hi Dave Here are the parts for your horn thingy

First picture shows roughly how it goes together ( sideways )

The spring may be a bit on the strong side and may need adjusting.
Thanks Jeremy thats a big help :, I'll get down to the local engineering supply shop and get hold of some copper sheet to make the cone.

Hi Dave here is a rough diagram of how I think the horn button parts go together

Thanks Jeremy thats a great help , appreciate it .
I can see what I need now to make it good and how it goes together .Should be able to knock the cone up out of some thikn copper sheet and find a tapered spring of sorts.

Ok Dave will sort something you are correct about the washer that's how I did mine
Thanks Jeremy

Hope this is of some use Dave I may have the centre isolator and I found the nut that holds the steering wheel on the other day.
Thats a big help Jeremy , thanks . Spring , Isolator and would imagine a flat washer soldered to the wire . I can go down to the local engineering supplies and have a dig around in their spring box's , if you do have a centre isolator that would be brilliant ,as that would be the hard one to sort out .You can PM me with the cost for the nut and isolator, if you still have the jack and can find a way of sending it without it being a chew on I'll pay you for the lot :-D
Thanks again
