  2. Hi there, after advice on oil type to use in my 1944 jeep transfer case. Have been told 75w140 is ok but is this a bit too thick? Phil

    M 41?

Do any of you out there recognise this jacket. Its M 41 style but different in colour and lacking sleeve and waste straps. Tag missing inside, but zipper is a talon.
  5. I have a plate riveted to the dash of my jeep near the glove box with a 10.3.44 date and nothing else. Anyone know why this may have been fitted? The jeep is a Ford GPW but the tub is an original Willys. Assuming the jeep would have had its date on the glovebox why would it need another date plate. Phil
  6. Thanks Richard, do you know if these would fit onto the standard pattern winter top as i have both doors and rear curtains.
  7. Can anyone I.D the makers of my jeep canvas. There is a faint makers mark looks like C.H & -- LTD. Any ideas, are they original kit? Phil

  9. I do have a chassis no on the front rail but it is extremely faint so assumed it had been restamped later on the rear. the no 206087 starts with the letter C in front of it so possibly stands for chassis? the no on the front rail does start with a 20 then i can only make out the top and bottom of some of the digits but they do look similar to the rear no.
  10. Thanks for that, where do i get this registration card from?
  11. My GPW jeep has a chassis no that was guessed at by DVLA! On shot blasting the chassis i have found the original no 206087 stamped on the rear cross member. How difficult would it be to change it on the logbook? Can i get the exact registration no from the chassis no? Also the no 20yh23 is stamped is this a reg? Phil
  12. Hi everyone, another GPW jeep owner here. Will no doubt be asking a lot of questions shortly as i had the urge to take it to pieces and am in the process of painting everything and putting it back together. Turning out to be an expensive hobby but satisfying! Are there any jeep owners in Birmingham Castlebromwich area as i passed one there about a month ago? Phil
