  1. Bit more of an update on the restoration of the c60s. I have now got the tyres fitted back to the wheels, they went back together very well. All the wheel bearings have been greased up and the truck is now sitting back on her wheels. I now have a bit of adjusting up with the doors, I can then get these painted. Are post some pics as soon as.

  2. I have a dodge engine from a weapons carrier, and I have a problem in that the bottom of the shaft on the distributor does not engage with the top of the oil pump shaft. I have tried another oil pump and different distributors. Does any body know if there were different lengths of shaft on the distributors. Thanks Howard

  3. Well glad you all enjoyed some of the pics, Regards the values well thats all driven by us, if you want something bad enough from the auction then your willing to pay the price. Ive put my bids in if I win then great, if not there is always something else going to come along one day.

  4. Well I have achieved a bit more work on the command car, the passenger side rear mud guard is all on, i have also got all the front vent fitted and linkages connected up. hand throttle cable and choke cable cut to size and fitted. The two cast front windscreen pillars are now in place. I have fitted a new rubber seal to the outside of the windscreen frame quite a time consuming job. Painted more various nuts and bolts, front grill now has all the correct bolt. The fuel filter is now bolted to the bulkhead and all plumbed in. The bonnet has had another coat of paint. Well thats about it to date.

  5. Well a bit of an update on the C60s, well the doors have had the old skins removed, and i have blasted and primed the frames, there was a small bit of welding to do but nothing to drastic. In fact I was quite amazed at the condition of the frame metal they were not painted and there was not to much rust, thats about it at the moment. pics to follow after the new skins have been fitted.

  7. Up date on the command car, well the body has now been painted and is in its olive drab coat. I have also been busy getting a lot of the smaller parts painted. I have also fitted all of the brake wheel cylinders and got the drums fitted. Still waiting for a fuel sender unit to arrive, I can then think about refitting the body. Regards the seats I have had a quote on leather hide and I think this is what we are going for.Are update with some more pics later.

  8. I have tried different ways but no joy, yes the indicators do flash. Richard if i put it across both left and right wont this make all the indicators come on at the same time. Ive tried to have the dash light inline on the earth but no joy. Cant think where i am going wrong, unless a faulty relay.

  9. I have fitted indicators to a vehicle that came in for work, and i have had an issue with a relay. The relay is flasher 3 pin type. Pin Numbers being 49, 49a, 31. I have wired it up, but wiring it as per the instruction the dash light stays on. Could some one help please. heres a pic of a diagram. Ignore the wires that are marked E flasher relay and E flasher switch. These are hazzard. Thanks

  10. Well with the sun shining, I made an early start this morning and got the command car body blasted, then after clearing all the dust and wiping it down and moving it to the spray booth I set to and got it primed in Red Oxide primer. The blasting unearthed a few areas for repair but nothing really drastic. Heres a few pics.

  11. Hello Niels, Well I have finally got all the brakes bled and filled with brake fluid, I had a hell of a job trying to track down some banjo bolts, but in the end they were made in the lathe. I plan on making a new inner windscreen next. I have to admit I have made a start on a Command Car and I have been tied up on that, but I am due to get back onto the chev in a couple of weeks. Thanks Howard
