  3. What a stunning video, things like this help to re-invigorate me, uninitiated people always ask the same question...what are you going to do with your tanks when they are complete....I am just going to refer them to this video and say..."that's what I'm going to do!"

  4. Personally the "Panther" I am going to try and create will be a replica, albeit with some genuine parts, but it will never be anything more than that. And that gives me a lot of latitude in its construction, the hull and turret will only be thick enough to avoid having to use an inner structure or framework which gives that "movie prop" look. The rest, well we will see, the Russian fellows who built the stunning Tiger 1 replica a few years back came up with an interesting coil spring suspension system...so the fact it is not a "restoration" will allow some real creativity

  5. Hi Malcolm

ours has a very low first gear and usually, unless loading or unloading from a trailer or negotiating really tough terrain, I use 2nd to start off in as well. Yes they can be quite the beasts to drive, not a wonder the Israeli's re-powered them with the Detroit 8V92 and Allison cross-drive from the M109 series, we obtained a great running M109 powerpack from MCB Pendleton and were seriously considering the retro-fit. But so far we have managed to keep the old girl original so I guess once we run out of engines and transmissions we will have to consider it...What does your DsHk run off of? Is it a gas gun or blanks? Sure looked impressive!

  6. Checked my Iraqi bring back tank...was going to give up when I found a small slip of paper in the last external fuel tank....appears to be an I.O.U from Tony Blair....anyone have his number? I would like him to make good on my purloined gold
