Now I'm replying to myself :shake:

Mogstock number three! Trust me: if you've got an interest in Mogs and like to see grown men (and women) being incredibly silly - not to mention fire-poi, absinthe, chainsaws and giant camp-fires - then you need to come to Mogstock3

Can someone tell me what an FN MAG is? And if anyone has an idea where I might be able to get my hands on a mount and deac or replica?
FN is the manufacturer: Fabrique Nationale. They are based in Herstal (in Belgium) and were responsible for, amongst other things, the FAL and the MAG. Both were license-built in Britain, the FAL as the L1A1 (SLR) and the MAG (as previously mentioned) as the L7A2 (GPMG).

Wow!
They look like 404s; the one in the colour picture is a Doka (double cab) version, which is fairly unusual.
What were they used for?
-
Yes, the snow blower is the moggy.
It's got an unusual (home-made?) cab, which changes the outline quite a bit. Looks cute though

Greetings Gents,
You not talking to the girls then?
Welcome, welcome and Halloo too!

Hey Mike16,Stuff here rusts before your very eyes.
Says he in the Land Rover - ha ha!
Welcome, Mike

The resto is nearing completion! Latest photos here --> Heidi's Web
With any luck, she'll be ready for Mogstock 2 in a couple of weeks

Look foward to hearing your suggestions.
Don't get one that was with the Marines. All that driving through the salty sea isn't good for a Rover chassis.
(See - wasn't I a good boy? No mention of webbed-feet anywhere in that post)
-
Can't help you with the gizmo: but welcome back :-D
-
Seems fixed now
How was your trip to the Netherlands BTW?
-
Talking of pictures: where's me bl**dy avatar gone then?
-
We Want Pictures! We Want Pictures! ;¬)

Not too sure if they'll be feeding us bacon next year though...
-
A sensible decision ;-)
-
Ooh - I'm excited now. Must get over to Duxford soon :-)
-
Looking forward to next year!
Bl**dy 'ell mate - it's still January!
Nice to see Heidi in that picture though ;-)
-
Any interest of displaying in Belgium next summer?
Talking about Ursel?
Quite a few Brits go over for this show, including us :-D so you'll be in good company mate.
-
Luvverlee! really like the Butcher Bird - where were those pics taken? Looks a bit like Duxford but I didn't know they had a FW190 there.
-
very jealous of you I'd love to have your Ferret.
He he. You'd have to fight George for it. My money's on George...
-
Where abouts in E Anglia are you??
Yeah: where? where?
-
10 sheep!
Oops, sorry - wrong forum
-
im after a manaquin
My imagination has just gone into overdrive, but I'm too frightened to ask...
-
I thought we could have a combined Ferret and Saracen convoy if yours are all running and we could get a few more drivers.
You'd need more than A FEW drivers to get all of Clive's toys out at the same time ;-)
Is the EAFVG website up and running yet Richard? I just did a quick Google (insert your own jokes here...) but couldn't find it.

Not strictly for military machines, but hey...
snowtracs, 101's and a moggy

 I'll have to take your word on that one, Dave. I've not seen a baby Mog with a snow-blower before - I've only seen 'em "naked" and the windscreen has a different slope to it. That's why I guessed some of the other members on here didn't recognise it. Was the blower/cab an aftermarket kit perhaps?
