  1. This years National Armed forces Day is scheduled for 30th June almost in my backyard in Llandudno and had been asked by  the local Blind Veterans UK ( St Dunstans ) home which I support to take my jeep to transport vets and also for it to be on their fundraising pitch. However the MOD in their wisdom will not allow this to happen for security reasons. Go figure!

  2. All are cordially invited to attend this show at a new venue just 1 mile off the A55 at Caerwys  North Wales. This show used to be Held at Bodelwyddan Castle with a large military attendance but had sadly declined of recent times. The show is now being revived by a new committee  at the farm where the North Wales Military Vehicle show used to be held, more details on the clubs facebook page or phone the chairman (Maredudd Davies) 07921719084

  3. Net is olive drab approximately 9ft square but has originally been larger, mesh is 3/8" made from 1/8"" diameter material. Two of the sides have double sided webbing approximately 1.5" wide,  1"diameter eyelets and 1/2" diameter rings at one side of each eyelet. There are also a no of ties attached a couple of which are on the body of the net and attached with substantial webbing patches, the two uncut sides have short net skirts. One side has been cut left as is but the other side has narrow webbing and has had more net attached at some time. I don't know if this is British or US and only have a suspicion about it's use so any help would be much appreciated.

I'd  rather we went to the scientific/ANSI standard of YYYY/MM/DD .

In Britain the date has always been written as DD/MM/YYYY and as this is a British based forum I have to agree with Clive that this is how dates should be shown.Perhaps you could organise this please Joris when you have time. Thanks in anticipation.

  5. As Jack says the forum has gone through a number of changes over the years and the initial reaction of most people has been against the change but after a while you forget what the old system was like. There are bound to be hiccups at first but to be fair to Joris he has listened to members comments and reacted where necessary and this at what must have been a very stressful time for him. Thanks Joris. If an old computer illiterate fuddy duddy like me can adapt to the changes I'm sure anyone can.
