  1. 9BTR 2590-99-821-1320 are for camouflage poles- SOCKET-WELDED CONSTRUCTION, PAINTED FINISH, FOR CAMOUFLAGE POLES.

However they were originally fitted to the semi-trailer based on the Cranes 30 tonne Plant and Equipment Trailer designed to carry a No8 or No9 Tank Bridge towed by a Scammell Crusader in support of the Chieftain Armoured Vehicle Launched Bridge.

  5. JSCS is Joint Supply Chain Services, or should I say was - like NESBS it was one of the many different titles given to MoD Storage and Distribution sites following the various re-organisations that have taken place over recent years. The latest being LS (Logistic Services) or LCS (Logistic Commodity Services), although this may change following the privatisation of Storage and Distribution while no one was looking last year .

  6. Also Modification Instruction No17- Fitting of dry powder fire extinguisher to replace BCF type would have been carried out after October 1993.

Centre lighting panel with 6 position switch looks like it's from a Series 3, there's a brake test switch - these weren't fitted to 90/110s, the brake warning light is in the warning light panel.

  7. Spent some time looking through all the AESPs for CVRT - CESs, Catalogues, Technical Descriptions etc at work today both on line and the old hard copy versions that escaped the bin and all I could find are parts lists with no illustrations.Frustrating.

  8. Below I have scheduled what I've been able to glean from my old Illustrated Parts Catalogue together with other databases.

Can't guarantee that it's definitive. I assume Serial 1 is RHD judging by the Asset Code.

  10. Have checked database - N0104A is 42 Commando, 45 Commando is N5596A, however it shows the Unit location for 42 Commando between 01/01/2006 and 09/03/2006 as being BANUCK AIR STATION , NORWAY. I know that this is well outside the timeframe for service period of the lightweight but might be a clue as to the fitting of the arctic heater. Hope this is of help.
