  1. You could buy gasket paper and make your own, thats what i do.
  2. I replaced my pump a few months ago, when the ignition is on there is a hum, but when engine is running my pump cannot be heard( this is a recon pump so i would imagine as time goes on it would become more noisey)
  3. Hi Andy Got my 432 with a pump problem! i think it has diesel in it, smells and feels like diesel. I agree with you even though they are a multifuel diesel is far more oily than petrol, i think if i were to use contam i think iwould put a little oil with it
  4. Hi I don't think that it should efect the gauge , mine has jumped up and down before but that was low on battery power. As with the pump i here they are a common problem and you may be lucky and just have a bit of corrosion in the impeller end. simon
  5. Fitted my new pump today , and after starter trouble, link box trouble and the pump my fv is also running on song. Now i can have some fun:-D
  6. HI I took my electric lift pump apart to find what looked liked fuel inside the motor part, i guess there should be no fluid inside the motor?
  7. Hi Jez Thanks for reply, its burnt about a quarter of the lead so i think if i clean it up it should be enough to make a good connection, thanks for over, do you keep many 432 spares?
  8. Thanks to every one that replied, got the pack out to find the bl--dy negative lead to the starter off, looks as if it had been loose for some time as it has burnt the inside of the lead away. Now i have the pack out i will service it and clean engine bay out . Thanks again for every ones advise. ( Pics to follow)

  11. Hi Thanks for reply, i tried a charged set of batterys and a 24v nato jump pack. It made no diffrence.

  15. Hi Just got my self a fv432 MK2/1 , When i ingage starter switch there is nothing from the starter but the solanoid on the pump clicks bakwards and forwards rapidly, should this happen? Many thanks to anyone who might be able to advise. Thanks again Simon:cry:
  16. Hello my name is Simon, I am from Cambridgshire. I found this site a week ago looking for info on fv432's, got to say it looks b----y great so i thought i would join you all. My intrests include military aircraft landrovers and military vehicles, just got my second vehicle(fv432) first one being a lightweight landrover gs. I look forward to chatting to you all and maybe i could bug one or two 432 owners!
