  3. We drove down to Buckfastliegh last weekend and took part in a gathering there, right in front of the station. The Buckfastliegh to Totnes line - annual meeting place for the Devon MVT - an event put on for the participants rather than the public. In fact it is not advertised at all to the public, but if visitors would like to look around they are most welcome and not charged any entrance fee.

The format of the weekend is very relaxed and informal. People start to arrive on Friday and stay through to Sunday. There are several road runs over the weekend all great fun with terrific work from the Dispatch riders, marshaling the vehicles and escorting them on the runs. The biggest run (approx 30 vehicles) was late Saturday afternoon from Buckfastliegh to Widacombe-in-the-moor where there is a stop for refreshment and then the return trip stopping high up on the moor for photos.

For those that don't want to do the runs or who don't have a vehicle but may wish to wear period costume or uniform the train will give rides for free to and from Totnes.

Here are some photographs from this year -

  4. The Hardyferrets - we have our own business, Air & Power Services Ltd which does pretty much what it says on the box. :-D

Supply, installation and service of air compressors and associated plant, including air quality testing and pressure testing.

But Hardyferret will, if pushed, describe himself as 'an industrial gypsy' he served his apprenticeship at Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Winfrith and is happy to turn his hand to anything oily & grubby, noisy, old and decrepit, something no one in their right mind would want .........

or any of the above items located underwater :captain:

Me - I'm just the gofer!

But a gofer with clout you understand :naughty:

  5. Hi Tony

WOW - real big, big boys toys - what fun.

May cause a few problems with Jack tho' :-( he may be a little reluctant to let you have your turn with the dancing girls :dancinggirls: as your line up may turn their heads.

 Even so welcome and have fun.

  6. Bodge The benifit album is inspired. I would like to have one for me and one for my mum.

Jack For pete's sake, you must keep your nerve. If you crack now where will it all end. I know you feel like the stuffing has been knocked out of you  but people like this must see that this sort of thing will not bring them any benefit.

If you give in to them now they are sitting pretty!!!

    Stay strong.

  7. The following horrific images have been passed to me.

I have been asked to post these and the following text.

'To the order of the pink cushion, we are now in possession of the cushion and as the pictures show we will resort to whatever actions are necessary to achieve our objective.

Do not attempt to contact the police or authorities as you are under surveillance, and any attempt will result in swift retribution on the cushion.

Our ransom demands will be forwarded in due course, and will be met without he sistation and without question
