You mean you are going to sell her?
A pity, she may look crude, but can go wherever a Land Rover goes...
On the continent she may get a nice price...

I like that the two men considered to be trusted enough to remove grenades from the buried bodies were an Italian Sergeant and an Irish Chaplain...

That is a heck of a pile of notes for a rusty shadow,
but Bugattis always seem to get the car nuts foaming at the wallet...
I think the undiscovered 'Bug' is the vintage sports equivalent of the 'dug up Tiger' :nut:
The fact with a Bugatti is that there is no part of a Bugatti that cannot be made now. In theory you may make a new Bugatti for even a reasonable price. Therefore, even a pile of rust, provided she brings with her a History and an identity, has a value, because a new legitimate Bugatti can rise from those ashes.... ;-)

If you need a blacksmith, this one, Richard Maynard is a Land Rover fanatic and may have a clue about lorry parts... I know him from the United Kingdom Land Rover Owners mailiang list.

I seem to remember that there is a distance piece and there are two different part numbers for these pumps.
Anyway, especially if you are planning to LPG the vehicle I'd go for the electric pump. a Facet inline pump should be sufficient.

I have both engines (Diesel on the 109" SW and Petrol on the 88" GS) and I must say that reliability wise Petrol has so many factors that can go wrong both on the ignition and the fuel ssytem, while the Diesel has just one thing that can go wrong... but it's more expensive when it does.

Had it been a civilian vehicle I'd say it's the old Cherokee of the sixties

The Italian Army still used the WWI Pavesi Tollotti tractor during the IIWW. No other things basically because we had very little mechanic vehicles during WWI....

The four steering weels are the right application of the German engineers motto:
"Warum einfach wenns auch kompliziert geht?"

If you are importing from another EU country no import duties are due.
The seller, if a professional one that needs to issue an invoice, will apply the VAT due in the place of purchase (obviously this applies within the EU,. too)

I'd rather not to shoot to IDF girls. If I could aim them they have already seen me and opened fire...

Besides, some oil leak should be tolerated. It's a British vehicle, after all! 8-)

So does this apply to MVs visiting W&P then trying to "export" their vehicle back home?
This is the letter I wrote today to the Export Control:
Sirs,
I am a classic cars collector and the proud owner of an ex-MOD Land Rover restored to her pristine glory.
I intend to bring the vehicle to the UK for some collectors shows in the near future, but I have been informed that, to exit the UK, military vehicles need to have an export license.
Since my Land Rover is registered in Italy and the Italian authorities do not classify an ageing Land Rover of any military interest, it is classed as a normal car as its civilian counterpart.
I am therefore seeking your advice in the paperwork required to bring the car in the UK and bring it back home afterwards.
Regards

Is the car road legal? The cheapest option could really be to drive her to the UK.
If you aren't in a hurry I volunteer as a co-driver.

The local Police here were used to turn a blind eye (and a deaf ear, I'd say) when I used the siren on my soviet 469B....
