  1. Hi I am looking for a mobile shotblaster to come to blast the hull of my Saladin - I am between Derby and Uttoxeter. The work can be done outside in a field nearby? Any leads welcome ? Cheers J:)im

  3. That small fabrication was an add on from the previous owner - It has now been added off ! Yes that my Dad, AKA Foreman , Safety Rep, Time and Motion expert and doom sayer. Actually he is a great guy, ex REME and was very interested! (And he never receives anything but Tea...)
  4. I am not sure of the exact weight of the gearbox , but I was able to remove lift mine with a basic engine crane , it just had enough height to remove the gearbox completely from the ferret. It is probably easy for you to take the gearbox right out of the vehicle and then you will have plenty of room to work. Jim
  5. My Mk 1 Ferret has had at least two baskets fitted in the past - if you look ate th pics you will see where they attached them. The more recent one is obvious because they have left the lugs in place - the earlier one had mountings which were on the rear , and much closer to the centreline of the vehicle. Hope this helps.

  10. Yes , keep us informed how you get on - also what sort of shape the accumulators are in if you strip them. Accumulators are on my tick list so any shared knowledge is of interest. Jim

  12. The guy that sent me the pics was in the SAf and said he heard of a Saladin being attacked by machine guns and RPG's it returned with every optic smashed.
  13. There was a really nice scratchbuilt Stalwart at a model show recently - video on you tube - fully amphibious , about 2 feet long.
