I like them. The way they are shortened makes them cute.

Compared to the WC 21 wit T214 engine I once had this is more like a tractor.
But a Command Car is good to drive and Gordon has made most points. It seats 3-4 passengers comfortably but you can cram 1 or 2 more in it. Lots of legroom in the back and also in the front. Some room in the trunk for a few bags.
I am 6 foot taal and in a Weapons carrier I need to angle my legs for braking/clutching to avoid the steering wheel. A CC front bench gives a bit more room to avoid the steering wheel.
I even sleep in the back on a angle with my legs over a 25 pounder box that sits between front and rear bench. They only stick out the body a bit when I stretch out. Not the most comfortable but it works. A friend has slept on the front seats but the steering wheel got in the way a bit and he stuck out a bit...see pic.
IIRC there are repro bodies or a original CC body could be put on the chassis of a WC 51/52.
So if you want a true/original CC the built card is essential.
But even if it is a Command carrier (Hybrid command car/weapons carrier) its still a nice vehicle.

I think you can buy decal paper (water transfer) to use in a laserprinter. Maybe worth looking into that?
Here a link I found;

Hi @Enigma
Thanks for looking for that.
Stuart Bray retired in March, and is no longer selling BSA bicycle parts. So I'm looking for another supplier...
Best Regards,
Adrian
Didn't know that. I'll let you know if I find another supplier.

My must be a very late one.
Its in the R48*** range, has a smooth wingnut (no logo), black undercoat, painted green and has all the original decals.
What does quill type and pedal boos mean? (I'm Dutch.)
Still have the original outer tyres (removed from bike) and I think I use a original inner tube.
BTW, I have seen 1 folding bike with BSA on its individual chain parts.

Glad to be able to help mate.
The grip that broke on mine is I think a repro.
Its quit a thick bakelite while originally there was one complete and part of the original ones on it.
Repro's are thicker and noticibly heavier.
Also the repro's are closed one 1 end.
Because the original ones are way thinner there is parer between the handlebar and grip itself.
See pic.
BEWARE when attaching repro's; don't whack them on! Big risk to break them. Carefully slide them on to find out if they fit loosely or bind up immediately.
I ended up after another breakage to sand it on the inside to reduce its internal diameter and used painters tape on the handlebars before sliding the repro's on. After my repair yesterday I'll sand some more to get a better fit.
In the photo's the 2 original ones on the left, repro on the right

At least some compromise was reached but I can totally understand how you feel.
Hopefully next year you get to properly enjoy your ride.

I'll upload pics in a minute.
Did break the bakelite handle bar grip again (foor the 3-4rd time now) when putting the bike back.

And shouldn't it have a Kings Crown on it considering its dated 1941?

Looks like a fun vehicle.

Wow, very very impressing.
Well done to all involved!

Brexit may be a bit of a obstacle for the mainland Europeans. Especially if you want to buy or sell stuff
We went to A&E and back in France got checked quit a bit (delivery van). I even got questioned again If I bought stuff because I had a bag with sets of uniform emblems. I explained those were sets because we didn't know what heavy vehicle we'd be on so the badges were brought to correctly portray the unit of the vehicle.
Thing is bringing or taking back goods can mean taxes and more hassle. Even bringing food and drinks would cost.
For a trader its a lot of extra administration which might mean less mainland traders. So the old days size wise are unlikely. But it could still become a good and big show if new management or a similar show would be organised.

I love that gearbox cover, very steampunk.
War and Peace 2023?
in War & Peace show.

I guess the show is basically dead?
A pity, I enjoyed going there to see the displays, battles, stalls and meeting up with friends.
Guess after brexit it would be a lot of extra hassle for me coming over from the Netherlands anyway.
Still, I have a lot of fun there. Who knows what the future holds, maybe a European version?
Or you rejoin the EU?...but lets not open that can of mines.😅
