  1. Nice to see such a great deal of interest in wartime Austin`s as when I had mine it was hard to get any info on them! Might as well add these old shots of my late K2 to this great gallery.
  2. Hi, Redec, Maybe you should find a British WWll vehicle with a GS body and take details from it or even better try and contact the museum in Victoria Australia see if they can take a few dimentions from the one they have. its a bit of get as much info as you can and the draw up some plans. I think that the photo should be with this message, a trio of Austins at a show in Oldham, way back in the 80s
  3. Hope this image comes through, aAtrio of Austins
  4. Hi All & Andy. Just great, all the old gang. MVCG and Gateway pub, another blast from the past. I remember on the monthly meet nights when we had to share the upstairs pub rooms with Barber shop singers on their practice night and you could have of them practicing in the gents when you went to spend a penny, There`s an old mill by the stream, etc ( good acoustics in a small room) I have put some shots on the Austin k30 k2 k3 thread. Tony I`ve got a Bedford OY MW front pannel in my shed, its for sale!!
  5. Hello to you John, you are more active with MVs than I am!
  6. Hi Richard He was the guy who bought it off me. sad to hear he`s died. but you are spot on with the fact that it was a domestic fire tender. For use on the airfield buildings etc. At the time that when I started to restore the Austin the info that I got was that the domestic fire tender was a conversion from GS lorries so I rebuilt it back as GS. Do you know who bought it for spares?
  7. Hi My name is Tony Whalley age 62 and I`ve been married to Rosemary for 40 years. We have two daughters a son and 5 grandchildren. I don`t have a military vehicle at present but if you go on the Austin k30 k2 k3 forum you will see that I did have a K2 for a number of years. At present I am a member of the MVT Manchester area. Although I`m interested in military transport of all types I`m most interested in British wwll soft skinned transport.
  8. Hi Here are shots of my Austin k2 from when I first bought it back in 1977. I don`t know what has happened to it now, maybe someone can let me know? Regards Tony
