  1. We came across the "Military Museum of Texas" at the end of a two week roadtrip around the Southern States of America.

Based in Houston it is a real little gem. The volunteers who run it are all very knowledgeable and very keen to give small groups a very informative guided tour. Robert took us around - he had restored the M35A2 with the quadmount.

  2. Brilliant progress Paul, just seen your Rarden has gone on, well done! Dont forget for that added authenticity to paint the first half of the barrel silver ;)

I hope this weekend to finish taking the last of the bits off my Sabre (handbrake and master cylinders), before I start stripping, cleaning, painting and in a few weeks hopefully putting it all back together.

And yes I know i still need to post the pics!

    Cheers

A few weeks doesn't sound too bad !!

  3. Just been over to Witham SV to collect bits won at last tender.... these two CVRTs, not yet collected from the last Tender, looked menacing / sad ? in the mist.

  5. Nice bit of shunting and camera work. Its not easy to do a job and film it yourself too - you keep forgeting to move the camera or turn it on and off. The thing that most impresses me is that in an obviously built up area no one was sufficently curious to come and watch - does this happen every day on your estate ?

Luckily not too many people came past while we were in action..... and all my immediate neighbours are used to strange this going on at our house !!

Impressive ingenuity there - a real pleasure to meet you the other day and put a face to a name. I am gradually working my way through my sabre and have been keeping pics which i will post one day! Not going at the same pace or doing the same amount of work as you but following your blog has inspired me to paint a few things while i am changing my J60.

Look forward to seeing the engine and box installed..

    Cheers
