...Good news.

..... V5 Registration Document and a Tax Disc dropped through my letterbox last Saturday.... (21st Dec) !!!

Sabre now registered..... UOA 581L

well whoever shot/edited that vid did a bloody good job best vid of a tank! i seen for ages on the forum thought u were gonna loose some roof tiles at one point :cool2:

Indeed....

As far as the comments regarding the drivers view.... its no different to driving a large van. However I did have another person in the turret whenever possible. In the three years I owned it the police never took any interest !!

Will be watching this thread with baited breath! I need to register my Spartan soon..

Best vehicle I ever owned... Best video clips from purchase... in early 1993.. from Jacksons of Doncaster... to its departure in 1995.

Video from Doncaster, Hartlebury,Evesham,Bromsgrove and Kidderminster. Mainly me driving but also good friend Simon Blackburn.

They are still considering my application..... however they have confirmed that C & U regulations will be relevant to its date of manufacture ie 1973.

Two months ago I took all the documents to my local DVLA office to try and register my Sabre. I have previously registered an Abbot and, three years ago, a CVRT Striker with no problems.....

...however our local office (Worcester) is due to close this month and no longer deal with first registrations.... they checked all my documents and kindly forwarded them on to DVLA Swansea.

To cut a long story short... two months on and vehicle not yet registered....

Today, after much chasing, I received this email....

Hi Mr Donovan

I’ve spoken with our Business Integration Team and they have advised that now the applications have been centralised, we must ensure that the vehicles are being correctly registered and this is why they are seeking advice with regards to the Construction and Use Regulations. They are chasing the matter with our Policy Section, so I should have more information for you shortly.

The question is are CVRTs fully compliant with C & U regs ???

Two things strike me about this clip. First I have been trying hard to improve my driving this year ie not revving the bejaysus off it and it certainly sounds better than my previous attempts, and second I really do have to get the missus to knit me a cushion - the seat was already on max height setting!!!
