Our ALBION was brought by POUNDS in 1966 from ruddinton and driven back to PORTMOUTH. It was registred in hampshire UTP 68 K . Then sold to SPARSHATT VEHICLE COLLECTON .In about 1972 the collecton was split up and the ALBION was sold to KEN SEINER of CHERSEY .We brought it from him in MAY 1972 and drove it to DUXFORD vi a JOHN CARTER SHOW TONY

Looks like their are at least 3 MHVF members going to IMPS NORMANDY TOUR 2009 .Just hope we can get a deal on ferries .Other wise i will have to take something smaller .But really want to take the ALBION (HOPE WE GOT SOME WINDSCREEN STICKERS BY THEN)

Picture was taken at a ESSEX MVT SHOW in about 1992 .It was not stuck but put their for a winching demonstration and puled out by a WALD LA FRANCE 10Ton Wrecker at least 2 times on that day TONY

If your paint is oil based that you painted the body with .Use it to paint the canvas .Idid the ALBION 20 years ago with no problem .And is still on the original WW2 canvas TONY

I plan to book the ALBION CX22 in for NORMANDY 2009 . It went 30 years ago on its first trip . And will be 65 years old For the next trip. I think the truck and myself can then retire from any more long journeys . ( Might be some room if anybody interested) .All subject to ferry prices TONY

So a jeep trailer is ok to tow behind a jeep ? . Ben her behind a GMC or bigger? My M5 Bomb trailer has electric brakes that are controlled by the towing vehicle by a leaver on the steering column It also has switch that puts the breaks on if the trailer disconnects . Is this within the law As for driving the jeep 2 drivers 3 vehicles .TONY

I have just been told to A Frame a jeep is illegal regardless of size of towing vehicle. Is this a new law or have i been breaking it ? Allso non braked trailers ? TONY

My 1942 WOT 1 Has the oval stamped plate and stamped (FORDSON ) Data plate reads FORD MOTOR CO DAGENHAM . Do not know when or if they stopped using them. TONY

The truck is INTERNATINAL M-4-2 1 TON . Not a M5 11/2 ton . When we take all the jeep parts out of back and replace the cab with an open one that we have .It will be com pleat and all their .And wont be long before it is at a show ( next year i hope ? ) We hope to make this one into a rocket launcher . And the one we have had for a time into personnel carrier TONY

I don't think negative comments help like cutting up old vehicles.Not very encouraging

for new members of FORUM. We should try to save as many as possible not for our selves but for the future.I have restored 7 vehicles over the last 20 years .4 that would have been scraped if i had not saved them .. T CORBIN

The international has the original cargo body .But not the cab it is a K5 .The Dodge has an odd body. Hope to get the M2-4 ready for next year back with open cab . TONY

Did the 1 in Disneyland have any of the Rocket Launcher left .Or was it a GS Body.Have you got any pictures of it. Some M2-4 came to europe as GS trucks .But Rocket launchers went to the Paacific. 1 in picture FEB 1945 Iwo Jima US MARINE CORPS. TONY

We have an INTERNATIONAL M-2-4 . Coming in from over the pond. We think it was equipped with a rocket launcher. Would like to try to put one back ? Any pictures or information would be a great help TONY CORBIN

We have got the ALBION CX22 .Out off DUXFORD.And its now at beltering after a 4 hour drive .It will be on the ROADSHURE STAND to celebrate 33Years Insurance with them and AC MILES .It was the first MILITARY VEHICLE .that AC MILES insured back in 1973 .We also have some US NAVY VEHICLES on our own display in the MILLER FIELD .Come and make yourself known. I think USN Vehicles in combat areas would have been OD. Our GTB CARGO is in grey we

think it served with the USN In the west of ENGLAND . And never got back to the USA.I am not sure any markings.TONY

I have RAF . MT orders for camouflage .It changed a lot from 39-45. I have the FORDSON WOT 1 CRASH TENDER that is in its correct camouflage(Micky mouse) .Light earth /dark earth. For Jan 43 to aug 43.I will try to find the rest of the information and put it on the forum TONY CORBIN

As we will all be going to many MV shows soon this year.And not many people know each other Would it be a good idea that HMVF Vehicle owners had some form off ID in windscreen ?
