Jeez. The last time that I did A&E, I was handing out bread. I thought it was Mass. A big flashing Ford Fiesta, as tail end charlie, if you want it Jack?
-
Yep, £30 for each car, in the support car park, for one night. We'll not be attending. 'sake!

Hi, does anyone know the required spec's for deactivating a flamethrower?
-
It's not over until my Mrs sings. :-D
-
To be fair, I only heard about it a couple of weeks ago, via a Facebook group. It came up on Facebook before it did on here. Maybe the various organisations are playing catch up.
-
And, the free ones, thank you for turning out!

As per Lowfat. No lads, No Show. Bunker Bash (As was.), Damyns, etc, etc. Good shows, and the public paid for you sitting on a turdis.
-
It's the enactors Gas 44. Shed loads of kit, civvie motors. And we're spread out over the country. It really doesn't work at £30 per Fiesta for parking.
-
£30 per car parking (Aux' motors.), for our lot putting on a display, where the public have to pay on the gate. Yep, that's going to work, AGAIN. I thought that the new feller would have learned by Rex's mistakes. Oh well.

"This Regulation shall not apply to firearms deactivated prior to the date of its application, unless those firearms are transferred to another Member State or placed on the market." Is tucked away in the small print.

£30 to put your civvie motor in the Support Car Park. Not a good thing for reenactors, or anyone else.

Just a quick update, for anyone who is thinking of putting a new vial in their front blade. The original vial is painted into place, and is only recessed into the blade by 1-2mm, so comes out quite simply with a scalpel. The nearest sized vial that I could get to the original was a 6x2mm. You'll need to file out the slot in the blade before drilling the 2mm hole that is required to seat the vial (Approx' 3mm deep.). Then paint into position (If you've got a steady hand, you should be able to make the visible part of the vial look the same size as the original. Think I'll leave that part to the Mrs. :-D ).

Does anyone know the size of the Trilux vial for the front blade on Hythe Sights (L1A1, SLR.) please?
Thanks in advance.

The debate on the Gunstar forum (See Enfield1940's first post in this thread.) is interesting to say the least. Make of it what you will, as I'm baffled.

In the case of the Uzi that I bought, the dealer sent a man down from Birmingham to pick it up from me in Hertfordshire, with a full cash refund. Maybe it was because I told him that the Police would be picking it up, if he didn't?
I thank my lucky stars that I wasn't a "First time buyer" who may not have known what they were getting.

As a fellow forum member said to me when I sent him the pic' of the "Certificate", "I could have done better with my childhood John Bull printing set.".

I bought an Uzi from them a few weeks ago, and promptly sent it back. No German stamps or paperwork with it, just a "Certificate" of deactivation from the dealer. On the said "Certificate" it listed what had been done to deac' it (Which included having the barrel welded to the receiver, and also the trigger group "Fixed" to the receiver.). I promptly unscrewed the barrel nut and popped the barrel off, and pulled the strip pin to drop the trigger group out. Sending it back saved me a court appearance, or a lot of explaining to the Police, in my humble opinion.

Don't go! There are far too many weirdos that visit such places!

Pete, Spent Bog roll could be classed as lethal, in the wrong hands. = Chemical Warfare Item!...........
:D

Fair comment Tony. To be honest, any of us could launch a rocket through any of my previously mentioned building site kit. But hey, we don't, or threaten that we will. I find it very unfair that a spent tube needs to be treated differently to a spent bog roll. Such is UK law, eh.
A&E registering an interest to attend...

Just a thought, but could we help The Keep Museum out with a bit of stuff? (A few guns and lads in uniform.)
