sunday we found ourselves heading up to southend on the hunt for more mulberry to paddle out to. got there to find the tide coming in so it was a mad paddle the mile to it before it submerged !

hi i have a 83 6.2 ex usaf blazer had it about ten years got a couple of friends with same and pick ups.never had any problems getting parts normaly from american auto parts run of mill stuff comes next day.last year i did 20000 miles between mots and had one uj fail so i recon they are good strong reliable trucks which laugh in the face of series landrovers of same era when it comes to power comfort and looks.

this was our last day so we had to this .started out at 15.00 and back at 18.00 we had bit of numb bums but well worth the paddle.wanted to do this in 1979 on mvcg tour when i was 11 its taken 31 years to do it and it was my fiance idea to go back and kayak the beaches after bringing her here 5 years ago.

only managed a few pics here as wind was blowing a gale it seemed and sea was rough still made it down to the big red one momument and back. sat in sun to dry and it got busy in car park because it was a bank holiday in france for VE DAY and they all came to the beach.

tribute to rangers .mind the ramp in flip flops as my fiance found when she came down it on her backside and a few grazes on arms !!she managed ok on a proper beach landing from ian hughes lcvp afew years ago but the ramp wasn"t so steep.

we where able to have look around in it yesterday they have dash and dials out at moment for restoration still looked smart though.

took my fathers gmc for a days filming last bank holiday meet up with woody with his short wheel base from the red ball gang and had a good day .

paddled here last thursday we have always wanted to see the base of the cliffs shame about the erosion.

great shots again.we shot down to see it last evening 7.30 at dusk saw a fully loaded huge container ship pass behind it and could only see the roof of the bridge.we also saw the no 71 light up.

today we kayaked this part of coast with another section of mullberry thought it was shapped like it is but its actualy broken into three.

a few pics my mate sent to me of what he has got coming into the south soon after two years of sorting the licences out to ship them to uk.

paddled up the coast today starting our training for normandy trip in may and went to one of the places it all started from .went here in the jeep for a service around memorial on the 60th thought then it would be good to paddle there and today the tide was right.

visted here last year in cornwall crossed river on kings ferry a nice place to visit if you are in area or passing through a great pub for a pint too.

well done didnt think it would take long to see it .it was to dark for photos when we finished the other evening. i think they where saying that the tank wiil be the center to a roundabout when they have finished digging around for new entrance.

spent yesterday helping a mate ready the tank for the off and then put it in position at it final home wonder who spots it first!

looking at the ebay link and talking to my father confirms i think what i said its whats left of his chevy 4x4 15cwt 12 cab there was no data plate on winch to identify it and also the rear cross member is made up from a piece of channel of a seddon atkinson !.he also sold it to a guy in OXFORD .I think the guy who is selling it now brought it of the guy my father sold it to who did what he said he was going to and have it spares.
