  1. Hi. Found out it is not military. 1941 Brockhouse trailer. Ordered by GPO Engineering 1941. Stayed in service in Glasgow until 1988. How it found it’s way to the midlands is anyone’s guess. I know it was owned by a person who lived in Tamworth but sadly passed away. Thanks
  2. Good evening all. I’ve just purchased a draw bar 4 wheeled generator trailer. pits got a Coventry Victor HDA engine. came with a collection from Tamworth area around 6 years ago. Apart from that I know nothing else about it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Ray.
  3. It’s a tug tractor from RAF. most where David Brown going by the yellow wheels but am more thinking an early Ford , Massey Tractor. Douglass used all sorts of base units for tugs Thanks Ray
  4. Hi All Happy new year. Just a reminder for this years Cromford Steam Rally. A good turnout last year with military vehicles hopefully we can get more to attend this great rally this year. Book under commercials section web link https://www.cromfordsteamrally.co.uk/ if people wish to find more information via myself drop me a message. Thanks Ray.
  5. Hi Larry Not sure of dates just the info on the front of the truck. if I am wrong and have read into it wrong, I apologies. Thanks
  6. Hi Hope this is of interest . This was on show in ilkeston classic show this Aug. The Austin K5 was in Dunkirk and still going strong. Not sure who owns it never got the chance to speak to them.
  7. Hello All My names Ray from ilkeston Derbyshire. I own a 1962 series 2a 109 1 ton. it was originally owned by the Merchant Navy training school in North Wales and was a civilian model. In 2016 it was re built on a military 1 tone chassis and fitted with all military lamps etc. I am quite open and honest to this being known as I don’t want to pull the wool over anyones eyes. And at shows the military people have been quite happy with this. The photo added was at this years Cromford Steam Rally. At this moment in time I am looking to buy a military truck from the 50s. Hope to enjoy the forum and making new friends. Thanks Ray
