  1. I found this Bedford MW mk2 on Flickr (a photo site) under a set of pictures called 'scrap yard'. Certainly looks in good condition.

Also on the same set is this apparently roadworthy Austin K2 ambulance.

  2. I'm a biker! I have a garage full of bikes and enjoy rebuilding them almost as much as riding them!

My current bike is a 1985 Suzuki GSXR 7/11 (750 frame with 1100 engine fitted) although my 1100 motor has been tuned and is putting out 155rwbhp. A real street sleeper. :-D

  3. I've got a great little paperback book here on the BAOR, and some of the vehicles have white crosses on the left front window and/or on the left hand door, what does this mean? I was thinking it was something to do with the demob of the vehicles, but then I spotted this picture in the Antar gallery.

Anyone shed any light on this?

Here is a Pioneer recently back on the rally scene.

Was restored back in the mid 80's by Graham into Desert colours.

Here it is with the engine out. It was then sold to Audsleys to use as a rolling advert (they also had a Diamond T!).

  6. Hello Austin and welcome to another fellow K9 owner, they make for a great show vehicle, yet yours looks earlier than 56 because of the 52 bonnet.

Reminds me of another K9 family who named their son Austin and almost named their daughter Tilly, and their German Sheppard is Antar!

Hmm....I'll have to look into the year of manufacter, any tips on how to go about this?

I'm called Austin due to my Dad having a K9 and a Champ when I was born, my first ride home was in a champ! :)

Sorry, I don't know the website URL's anymore where these pics came from.

That was restored by the late John Stott of Southport. It was a recovery truck in Blackpool after demob and John spent years restoring it, it was as new right down to the early leather dip stick that sits in the passenger side on the engine cover.

    Good to see it rallying.
