We do a show over here every year, and although not a military show as such it gets us a lot of publicity.
As you can see we get huge crowds for the three days

We are holding our 2nd Show on the 30th and 31st of aug at Dublin Airport
I'm bringing both chieftians and there will also be a lot of reenactors.
there should be about 50 vehicles.
we are only a cheap flight away and any visitors could combine a trip to Dublin.

yes fred, about the start up
i learnt that the hard way
hold until you hear the metadynes start
after waiting for the light to go out on the psu
I'm missing two fuse's and caps from the PSU in the mk 11
anyone got any?
doe's the turret batteries play a big part in the performance of the gun kit?
-
she'd still beat Ya!
-
now this looks like fun
-
Ok, here we go again
I've decided to get the turrets working now
As it stands
1st Tank, the new one.
Psu starts light gos out ,turn knob to non stab, metadynes start ok.
Commanders or gunners thumb controller doe's not control any turret movement.
Gunners,There is a loud click when you pull the lever but no movement.
Commanders, there is a loud click and as soon as you pull it the gun depresses without command
2nd tank, the mk 11,
the psu will not start

I think your right
everything wired like a house to stop interferance
or
if the hull got a live earth (a live shorted to the hull)could it feed back and operate a circuit?
-
Reassembled rear decks today and everything is working ok in the gearbox area
hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone
At approx 1430 today my Mk 11 moved on main gearbox for the first time in 7 years
To achieve this I changed
The gearbox controller (was OK)
Dashboard (broken gauge)
The main engine switch board (switch gone)
The solenoid block complete (busbar gone, solenoids rusted)
I serviced
the Hull main junction box
The hull rear junction box
handbrake micro switch
And I had to learn all about the wiring loom
I got some great advice from all on this site and assistance, Thank you all.
Last thing
the N line in the solenoid block
to get the solenoids to work i had to earth this from the N terminal to the gearbox, so the last problem is tracing back this line all the way
From N terminal to ??????
Anyone know where it terminates and how it gets there
And could i just earth it to the box permanently

Sorry to hear that
I got some good news last week. A friend from this site who wishes to remain Anonymous called me.
So Eileen and myself flew over and collected a Dash and a solenoid block.

when i bought the 2nd tank it was with that in mind.
but its to good, so i'm trying to keep them both.
And don't forget they are the only tanks in the south, so to have a tank battle between the two at our show in the summer would be great
