  1. I was very fortunate to be the 1st person to show an Acmat in the U.k.

    These vehicles are a French update of a WW11 Dodge.

    Rough features;

    4.20 Tonne

    Perkins Diesal 6 cyl

    35 miles to the gallon

    Range on tanks, 1000 miles.

    1st built 1960's

    Still in production

    Used by several Armies and a current BA vehicle.

    Many, many versions........

    I have owned 9, all ex Irish Defence Forces.

    I currently own 3.

    Cost from factory at this time £ 120,000

    These are, still, hand built, hence the high cost.

  2. Yes, we are in Beltring every year ,for the last 5 anyway.

    We travel the 1300km as a group. I only have the one Fox I sold the other to an American over a year ago. I'm working on another Acmat at the moment.

    I'll start a thread in the restoration Section.

  3. I'm a military vehicle collecter here in Ireland and a member of the Irish Military vehicles Group. We have 40 members and around 40 vehicles.

    I own the only tank in this country, Mk 11 Chieftain, a Fox and an Acmat patrol vehicle. The wife has a 127 gunbus ( not a fiat 127)
