  1. Yes, well done Davie spot on! I bought it with some RAMC/RADC junk in a scrapyard about 25 years ago. I don't think I will have much use for it especially as the cutting plunger has snapped short! I understand these things are still used today :shake::shake::shake: There is an explanation here, but readers of a sensitive disposition may wish to avert their eyes from the lower part of the page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_dams
  2. Tony I've never got that near a sailor's ear lobes to see, but I think there would be far too much flesh. But anyway that was not the prime purpose of this device.
  3. Nope. I don't think it would be substantial enough to do that. What it has to penetrate is softer & thinner.
  4. Yes it is broadly a surgical type of device. A good thought about rings sizes, but nope.
  5. Nope, but size of holes would be about the same.
  6. Nope, holes made by this are smaller.
  7. Nope, actually they are different sizes.
  8. Wot on an Army diet? Interesting thought but nope
  9. Nope, but see the new side view.
  10. Yes well done, but not for the purpose mentioned.
  11. Nope, if I put one of those on people would expect to win a pizza as well :-D
  12. The winner of this will be presented with it at W&P. This is a collect only prize. I had this piece of military kit for many years & have decided I am unlikey to use it. It is somewhat aged & a small piece has broken.
  13. Well can't you post him a few of your crisps? I wasn't reckoning on having to give out two prizes for one competition. In a few minutes MO 98 will be up & the winner of that will get it as the prize as I don't think it is going to be much use to me. But others may have the opportunity to use it.
  14. I've got cover on my 1-Ton Cypher Office with Roadsure. I did it for not just the value but from a public liability point of view. It is on their books with its military ERM & curiously the documents issued show that it has an engine capacity of 200cc !!
  15. OK Richard you have a choice of prize. Either a bag of (in-date) crisps garnished with a choice of mango or brinjal pickle or mushroom ketchup. Or a partly used out of date box of small latex gloves. You can collect your prize at Belters. The choice is yours!
  16. Yes Paul the only survivor of the first batch of ten Shorlands, the others were cut up. This one is serial no.9. Both pigs were ex-NI. The one I sold was repurchased for NI in 1972, but the other one went there in 1958

  18. Sorry you missed the gold, but silver medal for you Degsy I think. These 75 year-olds need all the clues they can get.
  19. Oh well that's what I've got to look forward to 10 years time then! :-D
  20. What's that 75 years?
  21. Biding your time Richard & in with the kill, yes it is indeed. Well done & a keen eye taking advantage of the de-blurring (!) Yes the Royal William Victualling Yard. http://www.plymouthdata.info/RoyalWilliamYard.htm And I think this is King William himself making an appearance, but a bit further down stream:
