  1. Another interesting interpretation Bernard but not the answer.
  2. I wouldn't have thought of that one John but I see what you mean. But I don't have a round face quite like that one
  3. Yes its all rather worrying. There is the image giving the game away waiting for you!
  4. Bernard yes I have the first time it made a big deal about how I was going to reboot it, I thought it would just take me into Safe Mode. Next time I took a guess & it opened up the full XP. I had some success with running a clean up programme I have as there were a lot of invalid registry entries. After all that seemed well behaved. An article I have been writing for two years was running when it went peculiar on me & has added a dozen blank pages. So I cleaned that up & backed it up. So I rebooted & it was all peculiar again. Just a double click to open Windows Explorer & it opens 61 pages the same. When I click on anything it opens as many as it can until the memory runs low. Anyway I am creeping around cautiously as this seems stable at the moment. If you focus on this picture & study it the game will be given away!
  5. If it was IR we shouldn't be able to see much I'm on my phone as PC has gone unstable. HD seems very busy. I keep re booting but when I move pointer over screen icons are jumpy. Went into Word but it just opened multiple programmes then said memory low. When move pointer to start menu it closes into standby. Reboot & HD sounds clicky for a few seconds. It is only a year old. Can't get it stable enough to run malwar check. So sorry was going to post another picture. But can't do much on phone until this is sorted.
  6. Another good idea but not the answer
  7. That sounds a saucy gadget Bernard, but its not one of those.
  8. Tony when Richard gets it right you will be kicking yourself for not thinking outside the box as it were, then it will all seem very obvious. I will put another view of it up this evening to be fair to those who are at work now. But you might be lucky Richard currently has internet connection problems It has nothing to do with Admiralty communications (above or below water), Victorian Regulations, guided weapons, field latrines & all the old favourites. :-D
  9. I suppose it does Tony but its not that.
  10. Oh I get it because I mentioned "local heating advert" that has come back again. I shall go back to the email accounts & send some different messages about other things as mentioning on here expedites the linking more quickly. But in the meantime for the benefit of bots & all that sort of thing. Where can I get latrine paper for my goat? :-D
  11. Its scary stuff. To see how responsive "they" are I have sent myself messages on my two usual email providers using the appropriate addresses. First title & message "Where can I buy Humber armoured truck parts?" & for the other "Where can I buy latrine paper for my goat?" So I await to see what they/it dreams up. The local heating advert has gone & now the forum page headers are rubber track products & financial services. I wonder what will turn up :nut:
  12. I just wonder what yahoo, google & all these people know about us? At the top of the HMVF today & yesterday I'm getting an advert for a local heating company. Ok the locality via my IP but why heating? I have not searched for, nor gone to any sites that are to do with heating. But yesterday I received an email that was a receipt from a heating company that I paid on the phone earlier in the day. Only the content of the email indicated that it was to do with heating. But the advert only started to appear after the email had arrived. Perhaps I'll send myself emails telling me about Humber 1 Ton spares & see if it/they tune into my needs
  13. Beside it. Not that it would necessarily help but it was 4ft off the ground at the time the picture was taken.
  14. No men with torches on this picture.
  15. Sounds very plausible Bernard, but nope. The thing on the right is significant.
  16. See what you mean, but its not that.
  17. None of those. Not flares but they are certainly very bright.
  18. Well at least you could see the bottom line :-D Think about the structure on the right of the picture.
  19. Now is that the Fosters talking? If I said yes it would then become identified so it would cease to be a UFO :-D Anyway we can avoid that paradox as its not one of those. Richard you may well have come across examples of this during your career.
  20. I see what you are getting at but nope. As mentioned earlier it is something I saw here tonight, in Wiltshire (ie first hand, I took the picture myself it is not off the telly or web etc) So it is an application of military equipment probably going on in this form since at least the 1950s & during WW2 to some extent I expect.
  21. Sounds very plausible as we are under a military flight path. But its not that. I think this is slightly less clipped.
  22. Ok Richard here's your clue: Something that I saw tonight.
