  1. Ifd any one wants the 50 cal im not going to use it now £140 thats what it stands me at . If i can get my money back id be happy
  2. Thanks . I haven't got anything yet so if i get a mount first ill try and get the gun to match other wize ill get t he gun and ether mod a mount or make something
  3. to save me having to make something does any one have 1 of these ., i need 2 but what every you have would be great save me having to sty and make something .
  4. Droped in at Haywood tanks today to drop of my super bright LED headlights with build in indicators and pick up the main gun stay in the turret , My intention was to machine the center hole bigger to 65mm as that the max size you can fit in the longer barrel support, but after a chat with Dale he gave me an option i hadn't thought about . ether machine the support as well and then fit a 90mm barrel as on the scorpions or why not ditch the support all together. So im thinking may be leave out the center boss altogether start the gun at the boss size which is a little over 150mm for say 3.5ft with 1.5 feet being inside and the rest 2ft out side then have 3 foot of 100mm welded to it and machine them so they blend in together then fit the flash brake wich will add a further 1ft to the need like on the pictures above of the paint im looking for you can see how the barrel is something like that . Think that will look ace once its powder coated black
  5. If its a a show your ok if your on the street it is not . I were a kilt and i have a small knife in the sock if i am out i cant use it i have to put a fake one in but if im at a show even a bike show on privet property i can no matter what its a bout bikes tanks or a fishing show i use the real thing.
  6. the ones above are air soft not paint ball sorry looked at so many guns now im seeing double . Think ill go for air soft so that way i get the looks im after but they actualy work and fire and my son and i can both have some air soft days out with them as well as mounting them on the tank . And beleave it or not some places let you take the tank to an air soft place and drive it about in the games see a picture on face book to day of a guy who did just that last weekend .
  7. Having recently been looking in to GPMG 's for fitting to my scimitar and having looked in this a lot decommission guns replica guns air soft and paint ball guns this is what i have found out . Other then the fast they most places advertise stuff they font actually have for sale , if you want a gun thats in a bright blue orange kind of aie soft gun you dont need anything just be over 16 if you want any kind of blank firing gun replica air soft or paint ball that looks like a proper gun in green black etc then you have to be a member of a club . Your local air soft club paint ball club or reenactment club . you will need a member ship card and a coppy of there public liability certificate to prove its a legitimate club . This is what you need to buy something . Like all fire arms replica air gun or what ever you can only go out with it in a bag even if its the car it must be in a bag if its mounted on a vehicle it all so must be covered while on the roads . You cant fire anything unless its on private property with the permission of the owner. Or at a show were every one on the land is showing arms as part of an event in this case its imply d my the nature of it being a show that you dont need individual permission to ether show or fire the arms .
  8. The bren sold to some of on hear or face book they looked at my post and looked it up on millweb and found it rang the bloke to night . Well if any one has anything them D&B ones are just silly money Both are paint ball guns so as well as looking nice on the tank my and my son could take them to paint ball game place and have a day out from time to time . problem is they are still £650 and £625 each ouch
  9. so thats a no then its not a lot £6.50 i guess .
  10. is it free to advertise on there ?
  11. Bloody hell these people are driving me crazy the advertise there stuff like the paint ball place yet dont have them in stock . the other place make them to order and all so dont have stock so you cant go and look at anything D&B only do museum quality stuff as they say and they cost around £2500 . Actually with every place that says they have them advertise them Not 1 place actually has anything for sale . its crazy .
  12. well your looking £11 £1`200 for the simulated firing ones with lines and bottles . £a grand for paint ball ones and they are out of stock any so the 2 options are Browning 30cal or GPMG . witch one do you lot think is going to be best both are £325 Or this 1948 Bren gun its real deactivated not a replica but its £450
  13. The 30 cal may be better but its £900 it is cool but i wasn't thinking of that kind of money .i did fined a paint ball one for the same kind of money that was all so very cool and worked sounded good and did actually fire stuff
  14. what about this bad boy then its smaller the 30cal version . cool for a tank mount yes or no all so seen a MG42 replica firers as above as well and a real Bren 1948 MK3 but just for show its welded up deactivated all so been looking at paint ball guns and air soft they look ace and all so fire The below is only £175 and it fires not from a hopper but from the mag
  15. Thats a good point about making a cover for what ever i get . I have decided that it was a mistake to get the gun i did . its to big so im selling it hopefully ill get what it stands me at £140 . Hopefully some one will want it for the kids to play with at shows or something .
  16. I have no intention on doing anything with the wheels other then painting them I wont be taking them of may be add a small alloy trim to the outer bolts i was thinking but thats just taking of a nut and fitting something and i may not do that
  17. you may be right but i dont want to spend loads on one its just for fun . ill may be stick this one up for sale
  18. Well all the bins i have are of now for powder coat except the front ones that Haywood have as they will need them to drill and fit them and space out the front lights . i just sent the lids for powder from them the hinges i removed and had them zink plated . could have done then olive green but as the bins are going to be black same as the tank i did them black with a slight greet tinge . they turned out real nice bit 1 hinge is a bugger to open and no matter how hard i hit it with a pin and hammer the inside rod will not move and mm . Im still looking for the smaller center bin if any one has one .
  19. This weekend i picked this up for my new scimitar. should really have taken a pic before i restored it . It was so bad you could hardly read anything as the lettering were the same color as the back ground being so corroded . So i linished them down with a special mop i have sprayed the back ground satin black and then linished the to again to clean the paint of now it looks ace . I think it will look very nice once i fined out were to fit it in the tank .
  20. I think this 50 call may be a little big . But having driven for over 3 hours to go look at it i just had it any way stands me at £140 It came with a 3 leg stand / the billet box box got over spry on it so ill have to try and fined some green sprat that about right . It was gloss black when i got it so i sprayed it mat black but it looked not quite right better then gloss black but not right so i then sprayed it with a gun met grey from a distance so black was prominent and it looks real nice now . I could do with about 10 50 call bullets in the belt to put between the gun and the box for that more Authentic look . But frankly i think ill just try and sell it on its just to big . it will fit im sure and may well look very cool and impressive and ill have to tie it down so it wont move when on the fly , Until i get the tank back i wont know but i still think its going to be to big . Ill stick the wooden handles and the side wood handle back on when i put the box back on .
  21. Ive seen 1 with a laser cut shape of a gun on it and that looks really bad LOl it was just a flat profile of a gun . Im not looking for the best just something to add to the top
  22. well i picked up a 50cal Browning this weekend but having drove for 3 hours to get it i found it was to big bloody things like 5ft but for £140 all i n i had it any way . ill have to see once i get the tank back to see if i can mount it on the top . Im going to keep looking as im sure its to big . ill take a pick tomorrow . but it needs painting any way so im going to paint in mat black with a bit of gun met grey as well as its glass now and looks a bit tacky as they were never glass as replicas go its low end but its not a lot of money and if it does fit it will look ace .
  23. I have seen a lot for sale in the uk deactivated and replica ones but nothing to fit to a tank i have sent a lot of messages to see if they have anything ill have to see if any one gets back to me . i have looked on milweb they do have a lot and gun star but not the kind of thing im looking to mount on the tank . and im not paying the money some of them cost some are thousands or even several hundred im just looking for a prop that looks nice and it steel not a plastic thing it wants to look proper i have seen a cool 50cal so ill ring him later but its in london so bloody miles to fetch Ill try the rif and had not thought of air soft but ill look in to that as well thanks for the reply's
