  2. WHEELS OF WAR PAST AND PRESENT Hi we are organising a military vehicle show here in Crewe, the venue is Crewe's Heritage centre ( mainly trains) but the venue is available and does'nt require tractors to tow you on or off!!!. I am looking for more local vehicles, but if you fancy one last outing before winter storage you're more than welcome (KEEPING THE RUNNING COST'S IN MIND.) to attend, wheeled or tracked and bearing in mind any Rolls Royce powered vehicles are more than welcome. For more info contact me thru the forum or on 01270 257813 or stevegrosvenor@talktalk.net Cheers Fasttrax
  3. Hi Thanks for that, yes we only fill the left hand tank as we've had problems with the right before, we've cheched the points etc the only unusual thing we found was one of the retaining screws on the contacts was loose, the gaps checked out ok though. On the plug front how readily available are these items and how much can i expect to pay for a new set!!!!! Cheers FASTTRAX
  4. HI ALL Im having a little trouble with my pig, it starts and ticks over nicely,we've drained the dodgy tank after running it on the right hand tank ( IT STOPPED TEN MINS IN)and finding a white residue around the fuel filter, and we think someof it has fouled the fuel line from this tank. When put under pressure ie: normal driving, it sounds rather like a farmyard tractor, it will reach possibly 35 mph, is this normal a normal road speed? It sounds like it has a misfire, we are about to check the carb for the residue.Has ony one got any other ideas other than the obvious. Cheers Fasttrax
  5. Hi Yep you just gotta make the most of a bad job it adds to the atmosphere ( along with the odd beer!!!!!), i look forward to these sort of weekends what ever the weather! Fasttrax
  6. Hi been quite for a time but have somme pics to throw on and a question to be answered. Does being a member of The Mvt cover you with public liability insurance for attending shows etc? The pictures show hopefully our complete range of vehicles, the Pig is at the back doubling up as our kitchen/admin area at our latest show Arclid Transport Festival. Cheers Fasttrax

  13. " bet you've heard this a million times" took the pig out of garage left it to warm up (no it didnt get knicked) secured the garage and proceeded to the start point for the day, cut out restarted with backfire, solution nip to the nearest petrol station (in car) fill the tank and carry on. Then cut out on a round about, having forgotten which way the petrol tanks lever should be pointing!!!!!!!!!!!! You can have a good laugh but i bet im not the only one it's happened to, a discreet answer as to which way the lever should point will help with future mind malfunctions, Cheers fasttrax
