There was talk a while back saying Pietro was ill, maybe covid related.

Obviously following the current rules of military vehicle ownership: every vehicle must have a radio aerial and fly a flag from it irrespective of whether said vehicle ever had a radio fitted in service.

Try Curd Brothers on North Farm Ind Estate, Tunbridge Wells.

I use a 60w greenhouse heater in my Ferret which lives in a carport. It is enough to stop overnight condensation. I leave it on 24/7 but could easily use a time switch to turn it off during the day.

Dinosaur that I am I just hit the mute button when the awful muzak comes on.

Not sure about your specific model but in the past I have found the cam on the steering shaft to just be an interference fit and so can be realigned by gentle application of a hammer.

I've used it in Landrover swivel hubs and it can be a right bu**er to get it in. You need to be able to let the displaced air escape. On a LR I take out one of the steering arm bolts or upper swivel bearing bolts, whichever age LR you have. Then it goes in easily enough. Warming it can help.

If using it with a 351 get the free standing speaker as it has a volume control.

Clive,
I should have added I can monitor 51.700 if that helps, or indeed, any other frequency.

Clive,
How do we meet up with you at Capel? I will be there tomorrow.

Beware. I have today looked at an IB3 which has had an overlong fuse fitted. This has broken the back off the fuse holder and the ensuing short circuit has burnt out quite a lot of the power wiring to and from the switch. The correct fuses are 16.5mm long not 20mm.

Reme245, if you are going to the Capel show on saturday you could bring me some!

Simon, You have found one! Please list what you have, either here or by PM.
Armoured, the R209 was 6 or 12 volt powered and also mains if a Mk.3.

I was led to believe this was for a Series 1 Landrover but I am not so sure myself as it would seem to put the aerial mast rather a long way out from the body.

As you probably know the 352 was just a 351 with the clip-on RF amp, so does it really matter? Would a gun warrant the 352? I can see that the command post might need the extra range but not an individual gun.

I am using E5. It is a risk thing, do you want the hassle of possibly having to find obscure rubber diaphragms, carburettor floats etc if the E10 decides to attack parts of your fuel system.

See, I knew someone would know better!

Others might know better but I would expect Birtley to be ROFB or ROF(B). Certainly in my day (1970s) Nottingham was ROFN and Leeds was ROFL.

Well presumably the time slot at the Hop Farm is now free, maybe we should all just roll up for one day? No camping or entertainment necessary.

A dab of weld in each hole, drill and retap?

I see if you enter as a MOP on the day it’s £30, only £25 if you pre book.
I missed that bit of info. So effectively £30 unless you want to take a chance on the weather. That's killed it for me.

I do not want to camp as I live within commuting distance of the Hop Farm. So £125 for someone else to make money from my MV, I think not.

I bought some last year from jennychem.com.

Try Dom Blanchard of LRSeries, he is very helpful and has all sorts of bits and pieces.

Having looked inside a number of them I am pretty certain that the only difference between a gold top IB3 and a normal one is the size of the fuse. 2A as opposed to 1A. Good luck finding the little blighters!
