Being very slow off the mark again. Welcome Johnny. Just joined the forum aswell, and as far as I can tell no-one has noticed me washing the sump on Landy 2a in the dish washer yet. Best avoid the sink and keep using the dishwasher. Our little secret yeah?

When built it would have been deep bronze green, but it looks like it is currently in IIR (Infra-red reflective) Matt green. IRR green is a special paint that reflects infra-red light similar to how vegetation does. It helps them to stay hidden when you park them in a overgrown ditch. Deep bronze green has a nice gloss look to it.

Andy, yes the Ferret was in UN White. The local police still ask us if it is comig back as it dropped the local crime rate! The only way it could have done that, imho, is by everyone standing there watching it, so only a few officers were needed to keep tabs on people. Takes more police when the crowds split up. Not been to many rallies this year. Missed Ringmer, my brother in law went, and doing the microcar meet at Amberley on Sunday. Nothing else planned.

Seems very Landy orientated lately. My wifes first car was a Ferret which she really misses now, and I have owned a Austin K9 radio truck, so sympathetic towards non Landys.

That's right, I am here! Merlin Jones from Worthing, West Sussex. I have had military Land Rovers for 12 years now in shapes, sizes and states of repair, but currently down to my first - a s2a 109 GS. Also, my wife, Diane is here with here 1964 2a FFR restoration project.

How can I send a PM when the letters do not display in the verification image and the American voice says the letters, but they do not work? Is it me being thick as I am new? Please help.

32FG76 always in the TA? I own 32FG41 and she was always in hte TA aswell - 36 Sig Regt (v) to be exact. Cast in March '84 at Tunbridge Wells. Any idea if your old girl is still around?

Does anyone know where I can locate a parts catalogue that covers this vehicle? The contract number is WV2985 and it is a Rover 8. Other suitable manuals would obviously be considered, but I think I have the User Handbook sourced. Does anyone have a copy of EMER, Wh. Vehs. Q.022 I can get my hands on aswell?
