  1. This years Rauceby War Weekend looks to be the busiest ever. There will be a completely re-thought out battle all three days, much larger displays and military encampments with a larger amount of armoured vehicles including so far: A T34 Battle Tank, An M36 Jackson Tank Destroyer, And a few more all being well including half tracks and an M8 armoured car to name but a few. There are still a few tickets for the Saturday night dance left but they are selling up fast! £15 per head to get in for a fantastic night. We have a massive lineup including: The Ashby Big Band, Paul Harper, Natasha Harper, Katie Mustang. You'd be mad to pass up such an opportunity to experience such a night! The icing on the cake ladies and gentlemen is that there is a strong possibility that on the Sunday of the event we could be having a flyover by the BBMF Lancaster AND the Lancaster that has flown over from Canada. William Elkington is working very hard to get this confirmed and if all goes well this will be a very special moment so be sure not to miss it! This years event will massively outstrip all previous years so be sure not to miss it!
  2. Attention ladies and gentleman: The Rauceby War Weekend 2014 is now a mere four months away! Bookings for military vehicles, vintage vehicles, reenactors, living historians and stallholders are all flooding in at an excellent rate so if you have not already booked in, grab yourselves a form at: http://www.raucebywarweekend.co.uk/html/advance_bookings.html . Camping is also available for modern tents and caravans and there is entertainment on the Saturday night with a ticketed dance featuring the Ashby Big Band and a cabaret night on the Sunday featuring a variety of well known 40’s entertainers. There will also be entertainment on the Friday with music and dancing in the marquee. There will be plenty for the children to do also with grenade throwing and rifle drill sessions throughout the weekend. The Battalion Band and Corps of Drums of Lincolnshire Battalion, Army Cadet Force will also be attending and playing music throughout the weekend with the possibility of a marching display as well. We look forward to seeing you all there!
  3. Less than two weeks now ladies and gents! Tickets for the Saturday night Victory Ball are going thick and fast now and if you haven’t got yours yet then now is definitely the time! Throughout the weekend the events marquee shall never be empty as we have a near constant programme of entertainers including Paul and Natasha Harper, Wing and a Prayer, and Rebecca Grace, fashion shows displaying both civilian and military clothing worn during the Second World War, D-day piper talk and music by Phil Meadows, and much more. For a full programme of Marquee events please check out our website: http://www.raucebywarweekend.co.uk/html/2012_programme.html This truly is going to be the best year yet both inside and outside of the marquee! It is also my great pleasure to announce that the Allies vs Axis football match will be taking place again this year on both the Saturday and Monday. And remember people, space is becoming a premium as more and more people and vehicles book in so if you turn up on the day with a vehicle or a display without a booking there is a very real possibility that there may not be any space for you so get onto the website now and send us your forms!
  4. Attention: Latest Update for the Rauceby War Weekend 2013! We truly will be having a show with vehicles of every shape and size this year with everything from an American Diamond T truck down to an excellent selection of pre-war, wartime, and post-war motorbikes and everything inbetween! Stall-wise this is shaping out to be an excellent year with everything for sale from numerous traders including militaria, replica insignia of the highest quality, old-fashioned sweets and vintage clothing. Three weeks ladies and gents anybody who has not yet booked in time is running out, not long now!

  11. Evening all, I'm here promoting the Rauceby 1940's War Weekend this August (Theres a post on it in the events section, gonna be a great show!) I have a specific interest personally in more unusual WW2 MVs especially artillery tractors and other unarmoured tracked vehicles. Thanks, James
