Yes Ron, you might want one too, they are being made for Jeeps, and can be ordered here in the US, comes at a price though.

Need to get some better battery terminals, but hope to buy some, coming weekend in the UK.

Little update, ordered a Willard battery case from the US, took a while to arrive, as I had it sent to a forwarder, but once in Holland, and when I picked it up, I immediately fitted it, and like it a lot!
Needs to have a little packing under the case, to lifting it about 3/4" up, and the nuts will be not so far down on the hold down rack.

Nice Ron! doesn't the Enfield C has a mid cable adjuster in the valve lifter cable?
Will it have a centrally mounted speedo?

Buy the book "British Forces Motorcycles" it says in the back, where the bikes went to, well if known ofcourse.
Matchless G3L's were also used by the RAF.

Ok, nothing there, with a quick search through the excellent book "British Forces Motorcycles" a must for the collector!
But if you misread the number, and it is in fact C4582232 or similar, then it would be a Norton 16H.

Picture would have been far easier, but I'll check in a minute!

OK, thanks Tom, but it's probably another one, as this has been together most of it's life, all was a bit rusty!

I’ve also got a first contract ML, frame number 1156, C5147158. The switch panel still has the original service brown. I had the frame powder coated, the closest they could match was RAL 8028.
My brother used to own, and restored, frame number 728. Not sure who owns it now.
Tom,
Just read this again, and I recently acquired ML758 from Scotland, could that have been your brothers? or are you sure about the number ML728?
Just trying to find out about the history on my bike.

Good show! reminds me of the rockerbox on the G3WO, you'd think it impossible to fit with the engine in the frame, but it's doable if you know the trick.

Yes, my first thought was James too, with those engine mounts.

Yes, saw that too, maybe take it up with him, I'm not too popular with him!!🤪
Let me know,

Ok, but it will be 100 quid minimum I think.
Thanks,

Ron, with the modern fuel, I always time my engines a bit more advanced, so wouldn't worry about it.

Good that you're on your feet again Ron! but don't overdo it!

Put a piece of wood under the casing, so now it sits better, also a picture of how the Optima fits in there.
