  1. Beautyfull work on this ,,older,, kit,I have both the Accurate Armour Scammell Heavy Breakdown kit(1/35 scale) and the Scammell R100 AT,the one you are building,my kits are still unbuild, the reason therefore is that I am still looking for good reference,s to build these kit,s. I saw you are using the RP Toolz Punch and Die set, which are great tools, butt I saw you used a spring on your punch, did you ad that spring yourself? And why did you ad this spring? I am curious about it because I have also both the RP Toolz P and D set,s,the best P and D set,s ever in my opinion,I also have the now dated Historix P and D set,s and the Armour Extra Details P and D set,s,butt these set,s are outdated in quality by the RP Toolz P and D set,s. Keep up the good work and all the best from the Netherlands,jelle...
  2. Hello dear Folks, Long time no see,to keep it short I was ill and thru my illnes I wasn,t much on-line. I have posted this question also in another thread on this site, but I think that I put that first one in the wrong place. So that is why I post it also here were it belongs I think. As the title suggest I am looking for WW2 vintage photos and/or drawings of the Black Hawk heavy toolchest as was used with the M25 Pacific Dragon Wagon in WW2. I am an military modeller, sadly I haven,t got the funds and space to own an real WW2 vehicle so building them in 1/35 scale is my passion and way to keep my interest fed into these vehicles, trailers and such as used in WW2. The M25 Dragon Wagon is on the top of my al-time favorite vehicles and I got seven of the 1/35 scale Tamiya Dragon Wagon kits, but Tamiya did forget an important detail namely the Black Hawk heavy toolchest as used in WW2 with these mighty rigs. I got several books and an copy of the TM on the Dragon Wagon and in it I find bits and snaps of the toolchest but never an good enough photo and/or drawing of the WW2 vintage Black Hawk heavy toolchest to get me the details of such an WW2 vintage heavy toolchest. So as the title suggest I am looking for any good photos and/or drawings of the WW2 vintage Black Hawk heavy toolchest as was used with the M25 Pacific Dragon Wagon in WW2. I need them to scratchbuild me several of these missing toolchests for my 1/35 scale models,so any help would be verry much appreciated and more then welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope that there is someone wich got this information that would be of help to me in building 1/35 replica,s of them, again thank you verry much, With kind regards, Jelle. The Netherlands.

Tamiya has forget this important missing detail and since I like to build my models as accurate as possible I am in need to find me some good photos and/or drawings of the real WW2 vintage Black Hawk heavy toolchest as used in the M25 Dragon Wagon to scratchbuild me several of these toolchests for my 1/35 scale M25 Dragon Wagon kits. Any help is verry much appriciated and welcome, thank you. With kind regards, Jelle.

  6. Thanks guy,s for the reply,s! Abn deuce, thanks, that is an great picture! The first truck/trailer has also an dozer on the back of the truck, that would make an great modelingsubject!! N.O.S,I have indeed two of the Accurate Armour 17/19 RB Excavator kits. As far as I know the US did use this type of 17/19 RB Excavators that my kits represent, when reading the description on the Accurate Armour site on this Exacavator the US would have used this type of Excavator for sure: http://www.accurate-armour.com/ShowProduct.cfm?manufacturer=0&category=14&subcategory=25&product=1164 These kits seem to have the curved cab you are refering to,I wil do some more researche to be sure. What do you think when looking at the photo,s of the kit?? Thanks and greetz! Boely.
  7. Hello Les, As soon I get my camera I wil post some picture,s of my models. I am still searching for reference,s on the 16 and 20-ton Fruehauf flatbed trailers with dolly as used by the US Corps of Engineers in WW2. I wish there was an TM of it available of these type of flatbed trailers with dolly. Any help in finding reference,s of those WW2 type 16 and 20-ton Fruehauf flatbed trailers with dolly is welcome and appriciated. I have gotten in today the book called Lincoln,s Excavators-the Ruston Bucyrus Years 1930-1945. I have yet to look into it butt I hope it has some useful reference,s on the 17/19 RB Excavators I have in 1/35 scale. Greetz! Boely.
  8. Thanks for thinking along guy,s! The picture of the Bulldozer on the flatbed is great!! I have orderd today as an aid in my builds of my Corbitt/White/Brockway 6-ton trucks the TM on cd-r from Easy One Productions, they have several TM,s on disks and they are an great help in correcting and detailing my scalemodels. If you want to have an look on what they got here is an link to their site: http://www.easy1productions.com/ I am not affiliated with them only an happy costumer. I have this TM also in print,an fellow-modeller has made photocopie,s for me,butt on disk is also verry handy. Butt picture,s of the real deal are an great addition in building my scalemodels. I have several TM,s and as said they are an great aid in building, detailing and correcting of my 1/35 scalemodels. An TM on the 16 and 20-Ton Fruehauf flatbed trailers with dolly are verry hard to find, does any of you know if there is an TM on these trailers available? In the main time I keep on searching on reference picture,s of these vehicle,s and trailers,so if someone can help out it is appriciated. I hope in some small way I can preserve the past with my scalemodels of these machine,s and to them who did the ,,job,, with these machine,s back in WW2. Beside,s building scalemodels I am also collecting books and stuff about these vehicels, trailers and machines. My era of interest is WW2,I have collected some great books and TM,s and I have some nice dvd,s of this subject. One of my latest books if got is The Corps of Engineers:Troops and Equipment in WW2 from the technical serie,s. This book is out of print but I got it thru the help of an friend in the US. It is an fantastic book about this subject,it has not much picture,s butt it is an verry interesting book. So I keep on searching and if someone knows where I could find me reference picture,s of the above mentioned vehicels and trailers that would be great! Thanks!! Greetz! Boely.
  9. Hello Guy,s, I am looking for reference picture,s of the Corbitt and White 6X6 6-Ton Trucks as used by the US Corps of Engineers in WW2. I have several 1/35 scale resin kits of these great machine,s and I have to put behind them 1/35 scale kits of the 16 and 20-Ton Fruehauf flatbed trailers with dolly. Finding reference,s of these 16 and 20-ton Fruehauf flatbed trailers with dolly seems impossible,do some of you maybe know where I could find me some reference,s on these trailers? The 16-Ton Fruehaf flatbed trailer with dolly wil be placed behind the White truck and as load I have an 1/35 scale D7 Catterpillar Bulldozer, the 20-Ton Fruehauf flatbed trailer with dolly wil come behind my Corbitt and that gett,s as load an 1/35 scale Ruston Bucyrus 17/19 Excavator. I have also an 1/35 scale kit of the Brockway Treadway truck and I am also looking for picture,s/reference,s of that vehicle, this truck wil be placed in an Treadway Bridge Engineer diorama. I have in 1/35 scale an complete M2 steel floating Treadway bridge and with this bridge and the truck I want to create as said an engineer Treadway diorama,I have several other vehicels and stuff for that diorama, like an resin kit of the AFKX 352 Truck with Le Roi compressor and I have an second D7 Bulldozer and sveral other vehicle,s for that diorama. As you can read I am an great fan of the US Army Corps of Engineers in WW2 and I am also an big fan of the WW2 Allied Recovery, maintenance and repair vehicle,s and such, including the Tranktransporters as used in WW2 by the Allieds. I have several 1/35 scale kits of these vehicels and trailers, like the M25/26 Pacific with the Fruehauf trailer and I have an kit of the Ward La France M1A1 and have two kits of the Diamond T 969A Medium Wreckers, both the soft and hardcab. Futher more I have an 1/35 scale kit of an Scammell SV/2S Heavy Breakdown Lorry and an kit of the Scammell R100 Artillery Tractor,I have also an kit of an CDSW Morris Light Breakdown Lorry. The Sherman and her family and the M3 Lee/Grant and family are also favourite to me,and the T2/M31 and M32 TRV,s are my biggest favourite,s of these machine,s. I have several kits and stuff to build me several of these TRV,s. I am going to build them complete with interiors,an fellow modeler has turned several brass cabledrums for the winche,s on an lathe for me. So with these cabledrums and some other stuff I have I can scratchbuild complete interiors for these TRV,s. But that is anther story!! If you could help me with picture,s of the above mentioned vehicels and trailers that would be great and verry appriciated. Thanks and al the best! Boely.
