Dear All Ages ago I posted looking for a spare wheel for my NCRS box trailer (see: http://hmvf.co.uk/topic/35307-spare-670r13-wheel-for-ncrs-trailer/ ) I have managed to get a wheel that matches but the tyre that came with it is significantly lower profile and I really need the right one so the towbar height is correct (and I would have to change all 4 plus get a spare of the new size at even greater expense ... ) . There were few (probably less than 100) NCRS box trailers ever made so I can't believe it is the only thing that uses this wheel and tyre - does anyone know what they came from as that might give me some more ideas where to look ? Regards Iain

This should be a very simple answer to find, but I am not finding it simple! OK, I am making a model of the 25 pounder and its associated Artillery Trailer No 27. But the (few) plans I can find all vary in their depicted tyre sizes. I assume that the gun and the trailer had the same size of tyre, but what was it. Since I am making a model, I am not constrained by what is obtainable in this day and age, so what was the original tyre size? Chris

Hi, I am new to all of this, so firstly, hello to you all! I am looking for a new condition (or close to new) Wesa Gelande 5.25 x 16 tyre for my Kubelwagen. I know I can get a new one from Europe but wanted to see if anyone had a spare in the UK for sale. Cheers Clive

Hi to all on board here! I am based down in Devon and have recently acquired an old 'farm trailer' that I converting into a living cabin. I knew nothing of the background on the unit but in doing some cleaning and priming have found the I.D. plate. From what I can make out he ID plate reads: "TRAILER CHASSIS, 5 TON, 4WHLD NO. 1 MK ? E.E. Cont. No. 23/5884 CHASSIS NO. 20088, W.D.No. Xo6867297" If anyone has any thoughts on what type of trailer this is I would be very interested. Another issue (and one I am sure many of you are familiar with...) it currently has four 10.50 x 13 tubed tyres, all of which are still holding air, but some are very perished. I cannot find a modern replacement for this size tyre so again, if anyone has info on this that would be great. I then just need to get the wheels/tyres off...?! Anyway I am very pleased to have found such a good forum. Festive wishes to all! Simon

Advice please - alternative tyres for my K9
Rhydoldog posted a question in I may be stupid, but......
Hi all. I'm new to the MV world and have just bought a nice K9 radio Truck. It's on 9.00" x 20", 10 ply, cross country tyres at the moment - I believe they're called T pattern(?) see below. They're in pretty good condition - just a few cracks. I've been told that some people run on a more modern tyre that drives better and safer... Can I ask if anyone has experience or advice to offer on this? Is it a good idea and if so what are the best to use? Thanks for any advice - just trying to learn the ropes... Cheers Ben -
