a bit late but here are a few piccys taken over the weekend, a very enjoyable weekend it was to, even the rain didnt dampen the atmosphere.

I wondered what all the sawing and hammering was coming from the upstairs offices..........congratulations........you do know dont you that all promotions to moderator have to be celebrated in the bar, with the new mods buying everybody a drink of their choice dont you? Mines a pint of Glenfiddich please.

Hi folks,

cracking little event, very friendly, a credit to Powys and Mid Wales MVT,charity for the weekend was SAMA (South Atlantic Medal Association) I belive the monies from the gate are to be donated to SAMA, a total of over £1000, a figure that the organisers in their wildest dreams wouldnt have believed possible.

Its a pity a fair few folks let them down, but what they lacked in numbers, they made up for in quality, the coup must be a Squirrel Helecoter from RAF Shawbury.

Anyway, enough waffle from me, the piccys.........

Just want to say a BIG thankyou to Paul and the team, cracking show, lovely atmosphere, and getting the Squirrel from Shawbury was a real coup.

I have just bought an RB44 chassis cab and discovered that formerly it was a "First Strike" fire fighting appliance with 9 AAC. Having never heard of the "First Strike" before I went looking on the web and found - nothing !

 

No pictures, no data, no manufacturer's spec, nothing except one post from a guy who saw one once.

 

As I only have the chassis cab - does anyone know what thecomplete vehicle looked like?
