I've got my set for my dingo almost complete, having the front plate double and the nr. 3 (or was it nr. 4?) still missing.
The 2 front plates I've collected are different in thickness and design, not knowing why there is a difference. They both fit on the frame.

GENTLEMEN,
I'm looking into making repro's of the rotating OBSERVER SEAT for the Daimler Dingo. I also assume they are the same for the Ford Lynx Scoutcar.
I've taken measurement of a original seat.
At this moment I'm trying to source the right materials to reproduce the original seat as close as possible.
My plan is to reproduce one seat for my own Daimler Dingo, and make a "kit" for other repro-seats of pre-cut parts (TAMIYA style). So it can be shipped and stored easy, and you can save costs by welding it yourselve together.
There is NO obligation to order right now, but I'm just looking how to make this project as economical as possible. So IF you got an interest, please react and then I've got idea of the scale.
I can't say anything about the costs, but material prices are the most easy thing to calculate. The costs for milling the notches are more difficult to calculate, also the costs for lasercutting the base and bending the seat-frame.
If you wish, you can follow the progress of this project on the public DAIMLER SCOUT CAR SOCIETY on Facebook.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/4370...37556/?fref=ts
The leather seats will be a different project, updates for this follow ASAP.

Blowing some life in this old thread :
The unusual tanksuit is a "Suit, Waterproof". It is a cotton/canvas covered rubber suit worn specificly by crews of a Daimler Dingo Scoutcar. They are listed as nr. 58 in the STOWAGE EQUIPMENT LIST (1945) Daimler Scoutcar.
Two "Suits, Waterproof" were supplied by the War Department after completion of the vehicle and stowed one in the offside, and one in the nearside rear bin.
Weight of the suits is 7.625 Lbs/each.
On the stowage diagrams the suits are marked as "Waterproof Clothing".

Hi Forum !
During a recent trip I've lost the cap of my engine oil fillertube. It isn't secured by any means, it just plugs in.
Diameter of the filler is 42mm, and the cap is embossed with the text "OIL, use only SHELL "
I'm looking for one like the cap on the photo.
Has anyone a spare he wants to sell ???
Cheers, Fred

Allthough not confirmed yet by photo's or drawings, it seems to be an early LARKSPUR antenna support bracket.
It will hold the "candlestick" antenna pole. (see Picture)

I've had a search at lots of "ÇHAMPS" photo's but coudn't find this type of bracket.
Will have a look at LandRover next :-)

Are you able to help to identity these?
It is a support bracket, about 12cm (5") wide and 10cm (4") high.
It has 4 bolts to attatch too something.
In white paint it is marked "ZA39117"
Thanks in advance,
Fred

Hello forum,
I've bought this cart some years ago in France on a fleamarket. I've tried to identify it some time ago, but upon today I'm unsuccesfull.
There ar NO markings at all on this cart. The cart can be completly disassembled for storage/transport. The wood is very hard and unpainted. All metalwork has been tarred the old fashion way : by brush. At the rear is an red glass reflector.
At the front and rear there are hooks for attatching towing (and breaking) ropes.
Who can help identify this cart?
Internal lenght is about 3 feet, width about 2 feet.
