  1. Hi Andy, My Dad also served on this ship. He was on the first Far East voyage as a SBA/Petty Officer from 1944-46. He's still around. I have been looking around various message boards but so far I've not come across anyone else still surviving. I have all sorts of photographs and things. Regards, John
  2. Hello to all, I'm from Blackburn, Lancashire originally but now living in Surrey. I've just read a few sample introductions and maybe I'm in the wrong place. I don't have a military vehicle and presently no plans to acquire any. My interest here is to research a WWII hospital ship called the HMHS Amarapoora. My Dad served on that ship from 1944-46. He's still around and has given me some information but I wondered if there was anyone else here with any information or interest in that particular vessel and the Far East voyages of 1944-47 in particular. I already have some first hand accounts, photographs and even some video footage of the ship in Singapore, 1945. Best wishes to everyone and their own particular interests. Thanks, Big John
