  1. The wikipedia page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stg44 - refers to use by Hezbollah and the PLO (!??!) I seem to remember on an earlier version the Lebanese army claimed to be equipped by them, although the current Lebanese army website doesn't mention them.
  2. Never had real problems in the Scorp on grass, and the land I drive it on is only up or down, and invariably wet!! Brig Gen Julian Thompson is on record saying he should have sent some CVRTs with 2 Para to Goose Green, he hadn't realised how capable they were. Seems that isn't the case on ice - but then is anything good on ice?!? A BV206 perhaps?
  3. Hi Barry We're not too bad, compared to most of the NE, still making it in and out of Hexham. How are you doing? (And yes pop over once accessibility isn't a problem!) Cheers, Mike
  4. At the weekend I took the Scorp for a short "spin", almost literally, there was much less control, it seemed that although there was no real problem with snow, despite the famous "lower ground pressure than a ballet dancer" stat, the tracks sunk through the snow and struggled on the ice underneath. It really didn't want to turn. Has anyone else tried to enjoy the current weather in their heavy metal? And maybe there are people on the forum who experienced the joys of CVRTs in Bosnia, or indeed any armour anywhere wintry?!? Cheers and happy snowballing, Mike
  5. Hello, I'm Mike, I've actually been registered here for two years (?!?!) but this is the first time I've got around to introducing myself. I've had a FFR Lightweight for ten years, and got a CVRT Scorpion 2 years ago. Er, that's it, for now anyway. Cheers, Mike
