  1. He arrived yesterday with loose nuts :schocked:, seems like his local green machine appreciation society has been at it again, little toe rags.

I'm not convinced though , if you ask me he was trying to emulate our glorious leader. I suspect having seen the generous donations made to the Essex Boys wheelnappers and shunters club collection box, he has come up with a novel way of financing his armour fetish  :-D :-D..

CanadianScottish wil be providing a beer can contents testing service at W&P this year. Don't get caught out by a faulty beer can .

    (Sorry Clive)

  2. It has come to the attention of the CanadianScottish Formation Beer Drinking Display Team Committee, that a certain Stalwart owning member of this forum is taking his reenacting a bit too far.

Far be it for me to criticise, however, Neil. I do think that a little constructive critique is in order

A three wheel Landrover, whilst green, is in no way a suitable substitute for a GMC.

The main drag through Americas Field in no way resembles the A31, even if Lee was on hand to field boundry wheels.

Your speed, approach and angle of attack was all wrong

Last, but by no means, least. There was no pink cushion in evidence

I'm sure if you speak to Jack, he will be able to help you to improve your impression, after all. We owe it to all those veterans who have gone before us to get it right.

  3. PS if you dont mind going by "Trawler" (just my opinion of trans manche ferries. ex mediterranean booze cruisers) Newhaven to Dieppe is quite reasonable. But there is still the drive on the other side.

Transmanche have got rid of the trawlers and replaced them with 2 brand new ships. They are also doing a Newhaven to Le Havre service. Check out the LD Lines website.

  4. I have just returned fron the Somme, where along with another IMPS member, we provided 2 Dodges as support vehicles to the Somme March.

It has been the most moving experience of my life.

    Lest We Forget.

  5. Try Armaflex glue it's similar to Thixofix and is used in the refrigeration and insulation industry for jointing and fixing closed and open cell pipe insulation. Whats more you can get it locally from SRW (Sussex Refrigeration Wholesale) in Hove.

  6. Quote Colin. OK sonny you're nicked, take the keys out of the ignition and step carefully out of the car. OUR tactical firearms unit has you covered from about 2 miles away!

Seriously though. Hope it was nothing serious and you all got home safely. It was great meeting up with you all this weekend and we hope to see you at the Fort next weekend.

The little para took the CanadianScottish prize for "best dressed re-enactor of the weekend". We gave him our two dashboard grenade stage props to add to his kit. Somebody ought to adopt him as their official mascot!

    Steve & Robbie.

  7. OK. The problem is with the brake/stop light switch (bremslichtschalter) wiring, which is what is shown in your photo. From the diagram above I take it that you have a 6 volt electrical system? All of these wires are on the positive + side of the battery.

First of all I would check that the switch itself is not shorted out to ground. Those terminal screws on it look to be very long and close to the body/chassis, if they touch it that's the problem.

I'll post more later when I've had chance to look over the diagrams.

  8. Yes it will. I think from memory there is a connector block in the wiring adjacent to each headlight and then these go back, via the beam control switch, to the main connector block on the firewall. Or are you referring to the actual connections to the rear of the sealed beam unit.

I will have the manuals by the computer.
