Hey all,

Does the Saracen have an alturnator that functions in the same way as civilian vehicles? If so, anyone know what the ampage is?

If I'm not mistaken, the Saracen is 24v negative earth. Is this 1 24v battery or two 12v batteries?

My bad, didn't end up buying from Tanks a Lot but from Fantastic days. In my defense I thought they were the same company lol.

My guess is Val bought the Saracen Mk 1 'troop transport' which is for sale on milweb from Fantastic Days, who also run tank driving, but over in Norfolk..! :roll:

The vehicles just been rebuilt with a complete engine rebuild. She purrs like a kitten!

Well, I brought mine from Tanks a lot, and it's got a turrett but he said that he didn't have the cannon for it as it was a pain to move about with it on. One of the things that I overlooked when I was there I didn't look for any cannon mounts. But surely if he's in the business, he'll know the difference between a cannon and the browning gun?

To be honest, I don't have a clue. The big shooty the gun thing lol. Where can I buy from and they will be deactivated right? Don't wanna get in trouble with the law.

The Saracen I brought, didn't come with a cannon though it has the turrett. Anyone know where I can get one?

Got the Saracen now. Is restored and the engine rebuilt. The only work it needs is the accumulator charging and the fault finding on the indicator lights.

Anyone know where I can get a workshop manual and drivers handbook/manual for it? Basically need to get it road legal by Sept 3rd.

Thankyou everyone, where do I get a guages and gas bottles from? I take it not the same places that do like butane and calor?

Just to confirm, I can use a standard license with a the Mk1 Troop transport?

I'm a cyclist so know exactly how that feels lol.

Looking at the Saracen Mk1 Troop Transport. I can't believe you can drive that with a normal license? If so great!

What type of license would I need?

Who to insure it with?

How do I charge an "accumulator"?

How often would it need servicing?

Anything else I should know?

I'm new to MVs but have always dreamt about having one.
