Hi Richard, Could you post a photo? Many thanks. J
For SaleWW2 Beresford Stork Fire Trailer Pump ideal for towing behind a light vehicle. Doesn’t need much to finish it off, but new project forces sale. Trailer is roadworthy with two new ‘period’ tyres. Engine (Austin 8) was last run 16months ago. Comes with a few ancillaries (main draw hoses etc) and most parts to finish her off Looking for about £500, located in Fareham Hants. PM me for further info
Cheers

What you are doing is very admirable. Good luck with your tank - although you might not believe me, some of us would love to be in your position. Looking forward to watching your progress. :-)

Hi I have just brought two Crossly lorry's one was a GS body and the other one most definitely was a tender they are both a bit of a wreck the Gs one is just a chassie with wheels and engine with no carb and no mag or dynamo and some one took the heads off the heads are still there but have let the weather in. The tender has the cab but rusted through and the tank is missing and a lot hole of stuff missing if i didn't rescue it they were going to be cut up for scrap so any one have parts manuals or any thing to do with a Crossly Q type ww2 would be very much appreciated.
Thanks:):nut:
Hi there,
Drop me a line at james@shoplandsawmills.co.uk we have the remains of a few Crossleys dotted about the place.

Made me chuckle anyway!
Sorry Adrian, I should engage my brain/attention fully when using idioms - shed any light and unrelated spello - data plate. Hare and Tortoise comes to mind.

Correction, the pheasant ordnance was made by Royal Ordnance Factory Leeds (R.O.F.L). Its interesting to note the companies who manufactured certain parts for the production of these Artillery pieces, for example W&T Avery (the scale company) produced the Gun shields for 25 pdr as well as certain sight component's.
Anyway here are more pictures of progress.

Also this site may help: http://www.anti-aircraft.co.uk/restoration_No3Mk2radar.html

The generator would be Mawdsley, ( not Maudslay who were a lorry manufacturer).
Sorry Richard, I stand corrected.

We have just rescued this little unit from a local garage. The former owner 90 said it was a searchlight generator he 'rescued' from a local airfield and then used to power a welding set. The generator is dated 1941. Can anyone spread any light on the subject or share any wartime photos? Many thanks. James.

that would be great to see back restored, very nice truck. Are these original markings or one from an earlier restoration?
Definitely original marking although it looks like the old girl went through a few units. Any information appreciated....

Gunnery range near me has had a clear out. These two Centurion tank hulls are languishing in a scrapyard near me in Ulverston Cumbria. Both have been running recently. http://www.johnmorganscrapmetal.co.uk/
Great project.
