  1. Hello, In researching the history of my 24v winterised s3 lightweight, the copy of merlin detailed the above UIN and unit. The relevant years were 1988 to 1992. The HQ and RM designations are self evident but what does ex54 signify? I am not aware of a 54 numbered unit serving with 3cdo brigade during this time period. 54 cdo engineers were not reformed until 2008 at Chivenor. Can anyone help with the above UIN please?
  2. As of 10 January, still looking for this item, as two previous offers of help have fallen through.
  3. Thank you everyone, for your replies, photos and advice, especially Rover8FFR for your offer of the component. Rover8FFR, I will PM you to arrange some postage.
  4. Do you have a scrap chassis, that you have finished with please? I am restoring to original military condition 84 KA 14, an ex 3 CDO BDE 12v s3 lwt, formerly based at the Commando Training Centre. This very sound vehicle has been modified to fit a 19j turbo diesel in the past and the battery tray mounts were cut from the chassis legs. I wish to restore an original spec 2.25 petrol engine and battery/air filter mounts. Would anyone, please be so kind as to offer me some BATTERY TRAY MOUNTS off a scrap chassis? I will certainly arrange postage, costs etc. I have all the other parts to complete this worthy restoration, so any assistance with this final item would be most gratefully appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
