Aha, so the UN flag will be flying in Devon again.

I know of this guy, he's a mate of a friend of my daughters. If he drives the pig like he drives the fire appliance, it'll be well knackered, and probably full of chavette sick in the back as well :-o

I don't know about Kineton. I thought it was Longmoor was the military railway area. As I recall it was used for scenes in The Great St Trinians Train Robbery & in a Morecambe & Wise film where it was meant to be a railway in S.America.
Sorry yes, Longmoor wa sthe base but BAD Kineton had sevral locos running there, Woolwich had 120 miles of track, standard and narrow at one stage.
Slightly off topic for a mo
There are still military railways at Kineton, Longtown, Eastriggs, Bicester & Marchwood, a lot of other depots also still have rail capabilities. Oh, and Longmoor Railway closed in 1969.
Anyway, I think the object is an ammunition loading shed for a fixed gun site.

FOOTBALL DANGEROUS :
Nigel,
You obviously haven't seen his truck. My family say prayers before being followed by Paul, especially down steep gradients :shake:

Unfortunately while playing football last Tuesday I tore the Crushiat ligament in my left knee, so I am now unable to bend or straighten it. I have been signed off work for 3 weeks, but can't do anything to the truck as I can't lift anything or even climb into the cab :-( . Hopefull I can coerce some friends round and I can sit and delegate with my foot up  . Have a couple of shows at the beginning of September I would like to take her to so fingers crossed :-)
Hurry up and get better mate, we'll need you in good nick to control that cousin of yours at Okehampton :-D

Heating water for washing etc. UK forces use them as well so there's bound to be a manual on it somewhere. I've lit a few and they do heat up quite quickly, but if you get it wrong, they catch fire quite quickly as well :-D

The military use an oil called EP220.
If it's an ex-military vehicle, try to get hold of army EP220 - from memory I think the EP stands for extreme pressure - but I stand to be corrected.
I smells shocking but does the job a treat.
Markheliops
Mark,
EP220 is for extremely large final drive units. I don't think the LR would move with that in :-D. EP90, as has been said before is the stuff

If you've got the chassis number, try here. I believe it costs £25 though and does take some time.

Pop,
Engine would be a good idea, it helps it go, also look for brakes as they help stop you (something you omitted to do when you bought the Dodge :-D. Perhaps a gearbox, wheels etc, they all help

Yes me and Sue are close. I'll copy a few sets tomorrow, and send them to you. I'd have thought you could have got hold of copies.
Nige

Yes Please :-D
Well get yer brother to PM me about the radio racking and I might just send you a copy :-D Soory, that's blackmail innit
Nige

Clive,
Do you know what the date is on that one and I'll see if I can get one. It looks the same as the ones I gave to Mike, except for the 'Drive Defensively' background.
If anyone wants a copy of the stuff I have, I can post some or even if one of the Admin can make a PDF file up to post on this site.

The vents :schocked: and it only let in a trickle through the doors. However, me fags floated along the dash as it p***ed in through the vents

I suppose I'd better say hello, although some of you know me already.
My names Nigel, although mostly I'm known as Nige. I own a Winterised/Wading 90 with a 2.5 NAD engine, formerly of 42 Cdo RM. There's nowt much wrong with it that can't be sorted with a 2lb hammer or a 200 TDi if someone has a spare one
Here's a couple of pics of it.

As you can see I don't mind getting it wet and muddy, in fact it's what I use daily for work (without the snorkel, cos it won't fit in car parks ).
That's me then
