  1. Goran, Thank you for that reply, that was exactly the sort of information I was hoping for! I would love to see the photo when / if you obtain it. Thank you, Alan
  2. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I have seen a few photos on the net of Dodge WC54 Ambulances restored as US Military Police vehicles. Do these have a basis in fact or are they a work of the imagination? I can imagine a scenario where the vehicles may have been used - post-war Germany, hostilities are at an end so there is less need for ambulances. There would have been large numbers of idle troops getting themselves into bother, hence causing the MP to commandeer / improvise the ambulances as paddy wagons. In my head the above sounds plausible but I just can't find any evidence to support it!
  3. Hey folks, As some of you might have seen from my intro (Greetings from Glasgow) I make models of post-war British Army vehicles based on the old Dinky military range and similar. I'm presently contemplating a model of the Fordson E2 Binned Stores vehicle, using the Dinky 626 Ambulance as the base, but I can't get a rear view of a binner to know how it should look? Can anyone oblige with a photo or even just an explanation of what the rear looked like - was it essentially just two big van type doors? Thanks Al
  4. Hi guys, Sorry for the delay, in replying. Thanks for all the positive feedback on my models, attached are some more examples, including a couple I currently have listed on eBay. Hope you enjoy!
  5. Cheers guys, thanks for the welcome and the positive comments to the models! More to follow in due course.
  6. Hi everybody, Just a few lines to say hello - I've joined the forum due to my lifelong interest in military vehicles, especially British vehicles of the WW2 and post-war periods. I also modify models from the Dinky military range, both for my own collection to sell through eBay, to make the hobby self-funding to an extent. Attached are some pics of my work. Hope to gain a bit more knowledge and some modelling inspiration from joining the forum, Al
