  1. thanks guys.

    Dear friends !

    I see real good job with this GAZ-67 ! This particular GAZ is really nice vehicle !

    But only one notice - such stamped front grill with 7 vertical holes was introduced on GAZ-67 in serial production from 1948 only ! So, this example is not from 1943...

    Earlier vehicles had welded front grill:

  2. Yes, even here, in Russia, it is hard to find many information about there engines.

    Most part of sources stated, that GAZ-562 diesel is the licence copy of Steyr diesel engine.

    I have found the following data about GAZ-5621 version (the dimensions are given for engine with clutch house and without gear-box):

    - volume - 3,2 ltr;

    - piston diameter/stroke - 128/175 millimeters;

    - length - 973 millimeters;

    - width - 603 millimeters;

    - height - 809 millimeters;

    - weight - 310 kilograms;

    - number of cylinders - 6, in line (not V6);

    - max. power - 81 kW/110,2 HP on 3500 rpm;

    - max. torque - 460 N x meter on 1800 rpm;

    - fuel consumption - 210 grams on one kW-hour;

    - toxic norm - EURO II with neutralizer.

    Here are images of:

    Sadly, I have found nothing about SMD-21-08 engines, besides, they are used in some armoured vehicles.

  3. I also own a IGL 3 which is probably not recorded any where as it has been with me since 1985... I also have a large amount of spares. Mike

  4. Dear friends !

    What vehicles are these:

    - FV402 Tracked Carrier AOP,

    - FV421 5ton Tracked cargo carrier,

    - FV423 Tracked Command Carrier.

    I shall pleased to know years of their origin and use, and to see images of them.

    Regards,

    modello.

  5. Dear friends !

    Looking through the Internet, I have found, that there were short-base and long-base Guy Vixant trucks in Britain. And I have some questions about this type:

    1) When short-base Vixant trucks were produced, and when - long-base trucks ?

    2) What are main differences between Guy Ant wartime truck and Guy Vixant wartime truck ?

    3) Can I use wartime-issued Manual on Vixant truck for the references on Guy Ant wartime truck ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Modello.
