  1. Hi,

As for the material, anchor supplies had a load of "scrap" canvas last time I was up there, from a £5 I think. Some of it was almost new, just ripped beyond repair or not sewn properly.

Maybe worth a phone call to them to send a sq metre? Then get someone to repair it.

    Only an idea

    Cheers

  2. Hi,

My lightweight had a yellow/sand coloured primer used on it under it's NATO green. Which was done in service.

Think it's to make the green more green! If you get what I mean!

As for the White, it would have been possible for them to paint every thing on show in White and not just the body, as the black axle casing stand out a mile in the all white surroundings.

    Just my take on it!

    Cheers

    Alex

  3. Matt,

You are correct, it is a 84' and the last one where 85'

Mine has only let me down once in the 3 years I've had it!

Very nice land rover you have there, always liked the station wagons and later the county station wagons!

Good luck with the studies mate, I my opinion the best subject to be doing! I am bias tho!

Got the Severn side mvt show coming on the 11/12th on June, it's normally a good show, send a PM if you need any more details.

    Cheers

  4. Hello all,

I've been given a VRC 353, which was so say working 2-3 years ago.

I've connected it up in the land rover but can't get anything out of it.

I have set it to OFF and the test switch to 28V but the meter shows nothing.

Do the 353 have an internal fuse as there isn't one on the front panel like my 321.

If not I will try and find a test set. Will this possibly find the problem? Or are they not as advanced as that?

    Cheers in advance
