  1. I've been informed of an Armed Forces day event taking place this coming Saturday 25/06/16, its being held at Anchor Supplies in Ripley.

    They are invited vehicle owners along, who are interested in displaying there vehicles or if you just want to come along and join the fun and shop - 10% discount is being offered.

  2. Hi All,

     

    Just rooting around for history of my Shorland.

    The previous owner bought it from a Dealer/Distributor type in Retford, Notts in approx 1994/5.

     

    Anybody any clue who that may have been? PO cannot recall. MV Dealer or just a purveyor of unusual equipment :-D

     

    Any ideas gratefully received....

    I have some photos of shorlands at budge back in 1995.... Would need to dig em out and scan them if you wanted to see...

  3. Im convinced that the NLBA Abbott was 08EB10 but could be wrong.... No on checking NLBA on was 08EB10

     

    Vickers Abbot FV433

    Military Reg No 08 EB 10

    This particular Abbot was manufactured and came into serviceon the 24th of April 1967. It was held in storage until the 14th of June 1967,when it went to 19 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery in German, where it serveduntil may the 8th 1970. It was then reclassified from class 1 to class 2 on amileage assessment.

    On February the 5th 1972 it went to 19 Field Regiment, RoyalArtillery, Rear Party. It served with them until it returned to 17 Base RepairDepot, Germany, on the 25th of June 1973.

    On February 19, 1974 it went to 2 Field Regiment, RearParty, Germany.

  4. surly advising someone to put their finger over anything that produces pressure is risky to say the least, poisoning can be caused by doing so, even with as a little as 5 psi it can cause the liquid to penetrate through the skin, causing at least dermatitis or at worst gangrene..
