Glad Ian has sorted it for you and your now smiling... Ian is a top bloke and MMI is proof of his good and hard work!
What we need to understand is that Ian puts lots of time and effort in to the mag and may not always be able to reply quickly... But I'm sure if it was a life or death matter he would....
-
As said, but i deleted in error, I did forward the link to this thread to Ian...
Glad you have an answer...

Hi All,
Just rooting around for history of my Shorland.
The previous owner bought it from a Dealer/Distributor type in Retford, Notts in approx 1994/5.
Anybody any clue who that may have been? PO cannot recall. MV Dealer or just a purveyor of unusual equipment :-D
Any ideas gratefully received....
Alec.
I have some photos of shorlands at budge back in 1995.... Would need to dig em out and scan them if you wanted to see...
-
Didn't they advertise Diseilised Stalwarts some years back?
yes they did, they made a prototype and tried marketing it...
-
I will need to check, I take this is the plate on the offside dash?
All of ours are Merc engine and 4wd...

nice piccys mate, who owns the white armoured car?
Mark
It could be Alvis or Glover Webb, but either way its a Tatica... normally running Merc engines... we have 9 of them but with more gun ports along the side... (3 from memory) all left hand drive.... pukka bits of kit....

Correct - the NLBA was the second private owner. There have been several since!
Andy
Hi Andy
Im guessing the reason they were second is that I was the first....

Hi tony, spoken to Dhekelia workshops, they can confirm its Military Training Wing... But history is still restricted for some reason restricting their access to the file...
So now where's the story for the news letter?
-
Wally Dugan already done this with a 2pdr mounted on the back, from memory the photos of this are on here somewhere from when the museum closed down.....
-
Knotty do me the story you promised and ill ask the boys at Dhekelia workshops for you.... But only when I get the story.... Lol

surly advising someone to put their finger over anything that produces pressure is risky to say the least, poisoning can be caused by doing so, even with as a little as 5 psi it can cause the liquid to penetrate through the skin, causing at least dermatitis or at worst gangrene..
-
Cheers guys, now just gotta sort the baby out with some camo gear and a tiny MV
Nice 1 Ian.... Congratulations... To all concered ....
Dont worry it will be a little while before you hear "grandad can I ......."
