I'm selling my M1008. Lots of interest, all going good, new MOT etc, low price...but on two occasions when a buyer with cash came to buy it, it went wrong on the day they arrived therefore wasting everyone's time.
First one the starter motor went 10 minutes before buyer arrived! spent £300 getting it sorted. Then today another buyer comes...trans fluid everywhere in road and not shifting up to 3rd gear when he test drove, but it was fine before!
Have no more money to spend on it. Removed ebay listing even though there were lots of bids. Can't think of anything other than scrapping it now and trying to forget about all the lost money.
I have not enough technical knowledge to fix it myself so that's not an option.
I'd really appreciate some great ideas on this one please guys!!!
Hi Bud
In a case like this the best advice i would give you is to Lock it up , Walk away and come back to it in a few days time otherwise you will do something you may regret , and there is always some person ready to take it off your hands for a few quid as a favour

Looking good Jer
Very nice :D
Another day at it and have managed a second coat on the rear floor frame

Have made the packing pieces to go under the frame and these got a coat too along with the rear cross member.

Also made a MKII timber cross member to fit to the bulkhead as the first attempt was not correct.

M813 later version 5 Ton truck, Cummins NHC250 powered, probably only rare this side of the pond!
The Truck is actually an A M General M813A1 and it is one of three known original truck/cargos left as far as i am told the other two are in Museums.

Thanks Miff
The trick is to spread the vehicles and projects about a bit and that way it doesn't look like too much of a collection mind you it did help a bit "giving" the champ thing to the boss, though I still get to look after it  no chance of anything armoured I'm afraid as its not what I'm into really.
Time management is the thing I did the Chepstow show today on the race course with Champy and Met the boss there after she had been to Cwmbran doing a bit of a shop, tonight I'm treating her to a meal out for extra brownie points and then I'm off to the MW to put the front wheels on tomo and hopefully will get home in time to ease some doors over the new carpets.
Never a dull moment !!!
Well all I hope Jer is you put as much effort and detail and care into finishing the extension you are building for me on my house:-D:-D:-D

Hi All
WW 1
Does anyone have any idea where I might recruit a few people and an artillery piece for an up coming country show to raise funds for a local Hospital and the British Legion .
The show will be held in the Royal Forest of Dean and is on for one day only , There are funds available for costs that maybe uncured.
Please let me know if you or you know of anyone who would like a nice day out and plenty of beer if needed ???
